Thank you Hailey for talking about lessons in chemistry, I hadn’t heard much about it but I preordered the paperback because it’s so popular, having watched this for my mental health I cancelled my preorder.

I like the fact this was less of a reaction and more of a discussion. It made it far more interesting to watch. As for One Last Stop...I was pumped for its release because I was excited to see another sapphic book get mainstream. And I was hoping that because of the hype and love Red, White, and Royal Blue, this one would be given a true chance usually not given to sapphic books. And then when it came out it almost had a quiet release with a lot of negative reviews and it just bummed me out because of course it got that treatment. Not to say that people aren't allowed to not enjoy it or that some of the negative reviews didn't have valid points, but I also know that some of these were coming from lesbophobia. I personally loved the book even though I am not into romantic contemporaries, and it was such a pleasant surprise,

I really like how you did this video! I feel like often when booktubers make this sort of video they focus on acting over the top outraged...

I remember I really liked one last stop But I saw negative reviews criticizing the Asian representation and it made me step back and see that perspective while still knowing I enjoyed the book

The best part of Lessons in Chemistry for me was Six-Thirty, the dog. And both Every Summer After and One Last Stop are two of my favourites of the year.

VERY FIRST COMMENT!!!! What was your second favorite Adult Romance after Josh and Hazel’s Guide To Not Dating? I’m going to read One Last Stop too!!!

I thought Every Summer After was fun and messy and enjoyed the ending for the drama even though I saw it coming a mile away! I actually much preferred it over Love and Other Words!

It’s really interesting how lessons in chemistry was marketed so differently from what it actually is

Love the handmaid's tale. Rated it 4 star after I'd read I'd but changed it to 5 star after I found myself coming back to it and continuously thinking about it

About Lessons in Chemistry - as a scientist, I DNFed it. Scientists are human, not robots. And this book made it seem like if you're a scientist thats it, you can't be anything else, and life's not like that.

I think I read the ending of Every Summer After the same way you did. It didn't really bother me at all, haha. One of my fave reads of the year for sure.

All the scientists and science adjacent people I know are incredibly outwardly emotional, so I’m not sure about that cliché 😅

I picked up 'Every Summer After' after Hailey rated it as her top favorite book. Sorry, i hated the book. Thats surprising, i usually like the books that Hailey likes. And i am a huge fan of friends to lovers. BUT 'Every Summer After' was not for me. And its not just the ending. It started good, but after 20% of the book, it just gets superficial. Just gave it a one star review in good reads.

Freaking LOVE One Last Stop!

Reactions to One Last Stop are always hilarious, like the train s*x scene “you did WHAT, WHERE?” killed me, and like i get it, but if you ignore that trains are always filthy and pretend it’s clean, it’s kinda hot 😂

I actually found Lessons in Chemistry very funny but I could be the only one 🤣 there we’re definitely dark parts I totally get that but for me I did find Elizabeth to be a humorous character especially her interactions with Calvin. It could be that I have a brother who is also a Sheldon Cooper character in real life and is very black and white, so I understand and relate to dry humor more.
