Beth the quilt is so very cute and I admire so much how quickly you get things done. In sewing your binding strips together, I notice that you just fit them and sew. I notice that I would sit and agonize on it, lining them up, pinning, and checking and rechecking. im hoping to become more decisive and fearless like you in my sewing.

Do sew love your quilts, I was in a rehab nursing home for about 6 weeks, My daughter took that time to giveaway all of my quilting fabrics, notions and 4 sewing machines, she has gotten me knitting needles, crochet hooks and 2-2oz of yarn. I am grateful for that. We were in the middle of hurricane miltoñ we just had electricity restored. I am greatful for this as well. But I sew miss the job of creating from fabric the celebratioñs for new life and other other happy occasions. Please excuse the message if it makes you sad know that I am not asking for any thing.l think it takes one quilter to understand what another quilter has lost, God bless you for sharing your beautiful quilts. I am 74. I learned to piece and guilt with no sewing machines, rotary cutters. Maybe I'll try a lap quilt using your lovely pattern it will be easy with antiquated methods,❤❤❤

@@bethshibleyquilts Just wanted to let you know a very special cousin ask what he could do to make me feel better. He runs a successful business, I told him I miss not having my quilting to do. I got a box from Atlanta with fabriç, needles, and thread. His wife had gone to a quilt store and picked up the basics, His maternal grandmother was a prolific quilter, He also said he remembers me sitting and sewing with my aunts on the front porch. God is good and I thank you for the pattern I will be making into a new lap quilt. Oh yes they knew I love blue and cats. So the fabric is perfect. Love Jacki

I'm surprised at the large, unquilted sections. Aren't you concerned that the batting will clump after a few washings? Maybe you are using a batting that is different than the 80/20 Hobbs I use. It requires no more than 4" between quilting lines. I do Leo the idea of having a few tops ready to go for quick baby gifts.
