If you go back to minute 5 of the first game, just before the drop, you might notice two things. First thing is that you are supply blocked when you stop focusing on infrastructure and focuses on the drop. The second thing is that you are low on gas on rich on minerals. My advice would be to always build two supply BEFORE switching focus to the drop. +30 sec after and you are still supply blocked and are roosting on 800 minerals. It used to be the same for me, then I saw a guide from I think either PiG or viBe who said the best and most simple advice. Do a macro cycle at home before swtiching focus. Always! 5 min or 8 min in, always! For a better balance in gas/mineral I prefer to get 1 gas for each of the first army building. so 4 gases (2 barracks starport etc). A it is now you are starving for gas and need to make medivacs, tanks, combat shield and other upgrades etc. 2 gases wont cut it! Edit. I just noticed that you only have 1 guy building supply depots. You will really feel the difference if you use 2 SCVs constaly building supply after you built starport

This is fundamental. I needed to hear this, cheers. Before any drop, I’m going to plop down a couple of depots. Thanks man

You are right about that not only this game, but most of them you build a very late third base. This game I wasn't sure you'd even make one. It's gonna make a huge difference if you ever start making it consistently at the right time when you're at about 45 supply or so. Like I always say you have killer macro, but you don't completely put it to use like you should. Great drops though you've been improving them well the last several games. You used to just drop the units and watch them die. GG you almost got the better of a diamond today that exchange at the 10mins could've went well but you sieged up a whopping one tank which means little to no AOE damage a huge difference maker vs that sort of zerg unit blob, and with good tank positioning you could've stopped the surround possibly winning then and there.

Hey Charley. Love seeing you pop up In the comments. Yes, you’re bang on. I’ll work on that 3rd base, and keep practising the drops
@BradleyHerbstАй бұрын
I find it painful seeing you forget to have siege your tanks pretty regularly. At 10:16 you go into his base with 5 Siege Tanks unsieged. Probably would have changed the outcome of the fight if you managed to siege those first before walking up the ramp.
@VoidspacealphaАй бұрын
Yeah I’ve noticed thanks mainly to comments, that I’ve been really complacent with the seige tanks. Hopefully I have fixed that now. I’m so dumb, sorry you had to watch that 😂

If you don’t want Zerg to get big. I’d say come with a good two base push. And needs to be quick. Then you start your third base as you are pushing out. If you are just sitting back more like you usually do(which is fine). Get a third cc way faster. And either way you were floating 1400k at one point. More cc and more production. Look constantly. Oh, and camera hotkeys;)
@Redtornado6Ай бұрын
I wouldn’t worry too much about much about camera hotkeys, you don’t need those until probably masters
@VoidspacealphaАй бұрын
I was floating so much minerals man. I don’t know how it’s happened, but I’ve stopped building production buildings. It’s so strange. My bad
@thestoryteller9431Ай бұрын
2 things. 1. You will blow your entire army and then scramble to remax. Stop that. You wanna play that way play zerg. Terran you need to hold onto your units and airlift them out when the situation is lost. Don't stay until everyone is red paste. 2. You have to get your higher tier units out. Second game in a row you only really built marine, tank, madivac, despite seeing ultras and banes.

As always, you are absolutely bang on the money. I am making silly mistakes. My bad

U just gave that Zerg every Zerg's ultimate dream. LOL 1. @1st Push: COMPLETE SURROUND 2. @2ndPush: MASSIVE FUNGAL w/ BANES Though U both were basically EVEN before those blunders, I saw he delayed his economy when he was forced to add more Spores because of those drops When Both Players are Good in Macro and Defense even with all the Harassments, the only thing left is the Engagements. I guess its Time to practice to those Techniques. 😁 Tip: "Splits" or "Spread your Units" Splits are too advanced, However "Pre-Splitting" or "Pre-Spreading" is a lot simple. From "Hanging-Out at the Rally point" to "Marching across" and to reaching the "Edge of the Creep", KEEP UR ARMY SPREAD-OUT. Having them Spread-Out before any engagement is very helpful specially against SURPRISE ATTACKS. Specially when entering Zerg Creep they will run around U like crazy, but if Ur already "FULLY SPREAD" the only way for him to get to U is going through and Zerg becomes surrounded instead.😁 BASICALLY Just Try NOT to "Clump-Up your Units into a Ball" unless U really need to.😁

You know, I promise I’m going to spend time this week doing splits and spread training on the arcade thingy

I think you played a pretty good game overall, specially the early game + harrass, your opponent just seemed to be better then the usual ones. Imho you do a lot of things right, but you really need to start paying more attentions to how you fight, your engagements are bloodbaths:). In the first battle you had only 1 sieged tank, rest was unsieged, this battle was horrible. As i said multiple times , im play only Protoss, so i cant say the specifics, but your battles look funky, you should prolly siege much earlier and also kite at least a bit.
@VoidspacealphaАй бұрын
Yeah many people have said That and I hope I’ve taken it on board. I need to seige my tanks, I think I maybe got over confident for some unknown reason
@cloven3768Ай бұрын
You had 400 minerals and could have started a 3rd base at 4:40. By the time you finished your first drop at 5:50 you almost had 1200! You could have had a third orbital and 3 extra rax on the way. This build was pretty much a 2 base all in at 9 minutes because the third is so late. There's nothing wrong with a 2 base all in if that's what you want but you can optimise for it. If you want to play a macro game you should have a 4th base completing around this time as your main will be drying up. There's a lot of guides out there for the 2-1-1 stim timing build, watching your play I think this would fit your style but it's much more refined. Imagine 16 stim marines hitting that natural at 5:30 instead of 8 non stimmed at 5:15, the game could have been over there and then.
@VoidspacealphaАй бұрын
I really really sucked at expanding didn’t I. I feel like if I focus on drops I fail at Marco If I focus on macro, I don’t harass. I need to be good at doing both. Not even perfect, just good. I’ll keep trying, thanks xoxox
