Sad to see Rauceby Hospital in that state. A lot of old asylums look similar because they were all designed by George Hine. I think part of the planning permission for Greylees was that the developers would convert the hospital to housing but it never happened. Presumably this was because it's cheaper to throw up a new-build estate than to convert old buildings. These places had a lot of land around them because they originally had their own farms which provided food and gave the residents something to do. There's a nearly-identical George Hine hospital in Leicester that's been successfully converted into flats and houses. The building like the one you pointed out is a primary school. I happen to live in one of the converted buildings. I've never seen a ghost, just people asking where to go for the ghost tour.

I went to the Greylees estate when it was being built in 2007. The sales rep for the building company said that they were going to convert the hospital into flats, after he told me it used to be a mental asylum and it was haunted. I wouldn't have wanted to live in those flats. 😬😳👻💀
