Suggestions: go to the Veterans clubs/centers to reach out to help them (maybe leave a number they can call, your local social workers will know individuals that need or the senior centers too. Also, call social services to see if there are seniors or disabled people who need your services- unfortunately there are at risk seniors and disable folk on low income and not enough service providers to help these folks out. And sometimes, there are just overwhelmed single mothers out there who are in circumstances not of their choice and may have never been taught how to clean and maintain their homes.

The yellowing on the floor can happen on vinyl floors with non-slip rugs due to the rug backing material. It happened in my kitchen and I had to put down a whole new floor because the discoloration is permanent.

I enjoy your videos. You amaze me at how talented you are and how many things you do to have a beautiful home. Regarding your floor: I have vinyl. When I move the mat, the vinyl has yellowed. I move the mat for a week or so and let the sun shine on the floor. After awhile, the floor has gone back to its original color. I don’t know why it works but it has worked for me.

We have vinyl upholstery on our boat, and whenever we take the cover off it has awful looking dark yellow areas, once it’s been in the sun for a while it goes away! It’s so strange!!

Love the “dog room” rearranging, placing the chairs in front of the bay window makes the room appear larger and brighter. I was glad to see you clean the dog bowls and stands, I clean ours every Sunday right now and when winter comes (we are in the high mountains of CO) it’s daily because I add homemade dog stew to their dry kibble though the summer time they get fruits and vegetables added in. I admire that you have your children help around the house without allowances, I will suggest as each of your children get to be about 12 or 13, start having them help you pay your bills and balance your bank accounts and help with your budget- this will open dialogue of why you budget, how to pay bills promptly, balancing a checking account and tracking your spending and as they see the income and out go, they get a real life understanding of how quickly the money goes out and why “no” may be an answer to some their wants; there are some families that do not want their children to know about their finances but I come from a household like that and let me tell you, me and money were fighting with each other when I got a job and left my parents home- it took years and years before I started asking questions about how to budget, etc (before we stumbled upon Dave Ramsey about 20 years ago) because finances were never addressed when I was growing up. Hey Cambriea, I must say, girl, you are looking amazing. With your frying pan, spray it with oven cleaner and wrap it with plastic wrap or clinng wrap as we call it here, leave it over night, the cling wrap will stop the oven cleaner from drying out. Freya is just a little darling, and I'm glad you two are having fun together while the boys are away. 🐨🦘🧡🧸

I have a waterproof mat, and you’d be surprised how much dirt sifts down through it. I turn it over and vacuum the backside of it occasionally. Maybe that’s causing the discoloration. Also, home health services might be able to give your name to their clients. They help the client with meds, etc and usually only do light housekeeping. I’m sure some of their homes need more than that.

Once a week when I wash my sheets and make up my bed I proudly come out of my bedroom, declaring to all, “whoop, whoop, it’s clean sheet night”! My favourite night too. I was one of those that commented to you about the super king bedding. It is the only type that fit my bed so that hubby and I aren’t tugging on the bedding. Btw, I like the sofa better this new way. It shows off the bay window more.

I used to have bad flare-ups of Rosacea and I found changing my bedsheets/pillowcases regular helped reduce flare-ups, plus like your good self Cambriea I love fresh sheets, is a lovely feeling hopping into a fresh bed. I also found reducing carbs really had major impact not just on weight, but on inflammatory issues I once suffered with. You're looking great, wishing you and Bobby success and good health.

The discolorization of the floor tiles is from the mat its self. Those types of tiles turn yellow from lack of air flow. its weird I know it will turn back as long as nothing is on it & it does take a long time to go back. Bleach & cleaner will help some but mostly you just need time. Great motivation today. ~Samantha

I love the new furniture layout of the sunroom for something different! It makes it look ten times bigger! I wonder what it would look like with the fireplace in between the 2 chairs? As far as the yellowing of the floor…that happened to my grandma’s vinyl bathroom floors from putting the rugs down when they were hot out of the dryer…so maybe it’s just from the sun beating on yours?? We never found anything that remedied the staining, unfortunately. Can’t wait to see future helping hand videos!! ❤

I saw a video where they made a paste with baking soda to get the burn of pans. Someone else mentioned talking to your realtor. You can make a whole new series of helping people get their homes ready to sell or prepare to move. I think that would be amazing

As always I love watching your videos. Sometimes I don't have the time to comment. Its always so cute to see Freya clean. This is similar to first nations teachings; have the child observe the adult and then have the child copy the adult. Its great for kids to learn that way and it can be fun at the same time. For your frying pan, I have a solution that I got from Auri Katerina. Spray your frying pan with oven cleaner and cover it with plastic wrap. Its best to leave it over night to get the best results. The plastic wrap keeps the oven cleaner from drying out. I am finally catching up on watching your videos!

If the rug backing has any latex/rubber in it, that is the problem...vinyl flooring warns about using latex backed rugs

Hi Cambriea, how are you doing? I'm in the middle of watching this and wanted to leave a comment about the yellow area in the pool/dog room. I think it's a mix of discolouration on the vinyl flooring as well as sunlight falling onto the area when the rug is in place. So the rug itself covers the vinyl and does not let the sun though in that area. It then discolouration the white tiles and turns them this yellow colour. I have polished tiles and it does not happen on those. But my window sill has a similar problem. When I lift my decorations up in our south facing lounge (I think you'd call it the family room in America?), I have a yellow outline of the shape. We are due to paint the window sills later this year and I will make sure to buy a good quality non-yellowing gloss paint for that. That's the advice I found online. I don't think you'd be able to remove that with any cleaner, but am happy to stand corrected if any of your viewers has any ideas. My suggestion would be to move the rug away, maybe store it for now and see if the sun shining on it will make it white again. Actually I should really try this on my window sill 😅😂. I'll take a photo and let you see what I mean.

She’s invited so many people who were having a hard time to live with her. The discoloring on the floor- we had this happen in our kitchen after moving in. It was caused by a rug from the previous owners. We got rid of the rug. I cleaned. And cleaned. The discoloration wouldn’t go away. Finally, it faded. It was the strangest thing. It’s completely gone now.
