Liked and subscribed I can’t remember when I had more fun watching a game of chess. Congratulations! My best chest moment came in a five minute game when I beat a 2500 (my reading is about 1600) that was many years ago, but I still look back on it with fondness.

@dr.floridamanphd
@dr.floridamanphd Ай бұрын
@@Snowzz_Apex his mental faculties are still there; it’s not like he has dementia. Even his reaction time is sharp. Notice how he blitzed through his opening and it was catching her, who is at least 50 years younger than him, off guard? Do you really think he blundered his queen or do you think he wanted to give her a confidence boost by allowing her to win? Juan Bellón is still a very highly respected chess player. He might not be a “Super GM” but he’d give the best in the world today a hard run for their money if he played against them. They call him “the Spanish Tal” for a reason.

Playing with an eval bar is so forgiving. Without it probably wouldn't have seen the set up for a double rook sacrifice after Qf5. Knowing that a position is a "puzzle" is a hint by itself. This was good chess and good banter between 3 charming chess players.

If you read it knowing they don't have an eval bar, it makes perfect sense. It implies I'm impressed by them spotting without an eval bar what I would need an eval bar to spot. Granted, I did accidentally ___ a word. This is why pronouns are important, I guess.

A pawn on the 6th rank is a great advantage : blocks the king from escaping, interferes with piece mobility, blocks the Queen from defending the King, and blocks the F pawn from advancing. A stick in the throat of your opponent. Good Game.

I know neither of these are world championship level players but it;s stuff like this that makes women and men seperate chess events a bit of a nonsense . There some very good players that are female they just need to be given a shot to compete against other strong GM's .People like Judith Polgar will never improve because all she can play against in major competiions is other women that she's already better than so can never learn anything . How is women's chess mean't to grow and get more recognition if all we show is Gukesh , Ding and any event Magnus decides he wants to play in? For me any woman can beat any man and I hope somewhere down the line the women's World championship will get the same level of coverage as that of the men's tournaments or better still allow women to try to compete in the mens tournaments and see what happens. They can't bridge any gap there is if they aint given a chance.
@NN-fw9il
@NN-fw9il Ай бұрын
You clearly seem to be greatly misinformed about how good Judith Polgar was compared to other women in chess.Your point is very valid in general cause women should play amongst men but Judith was in the top 10 in the open category(only woman ever to be in the top 10).Judith was the youngest ever player who became GM at that time breaking Fischer's record.Only other woman who's ever come close to 2700 is Hou Yifan who quit to pursue her education.She's far far ahead of any other women's player who's ever played chess and is the greatest womens chess player of all time but has never been women's world champion like her sister Susan cause she never opted to play seperate tournaments for women.She's the only women who has ever been a serious contender for the open world chess championship.
