I feel this episode so much. Last year I tried to run my first half marathon and i trained up so much. Race day it was a rainy day but felt good. At mile 3 I was running past a gas station exit and there was a pot hole hidden in a puddle. I rolled my ankle and ate the pavement. I tried to get back up and shake off the shock. And first step I knew I was done. The disappointment was unbearable, the staff drove me to the starting line and I limped to the bus. My ankle was red purple blue and swollen. This year I started training slow HR and it was very discouraging time wise. But I signed up for the same race and I completed two weeks ago. I moved so much faster than I thought and I finished at a better time than my goal. It was such an accomplishment. I need to run another half marathon this year. And hopefully a full marathon next year. Keep it up with the videos.

marathon might be a bit ambitious, and nothing wrong with being ambitious. but you can very easily get to hm fitness in 6 months if you stay consistent.

Build up…..do a 5k, then 10k, a 10 miler and see if you want to keep going so that you don’t end up hating running or worse yet….injured. Shervin’s coach even mentioned about increasing 15% of anything is A LOT. You’re increasing by like 1400%…marathons will be there….be patient

I did my first Marathon at the end of May in 3:38. Watching these videos and following you on Strava was really helpful because I think we started the training block at a similar time. My coach got me to aim for 4 hours at the start of the training block too.

I started running not so long ago, i always hated it yet now i'm around 20 miles a week, and with a light backpack. So even if i don't have any goals, i just love to grind, that was very inspirational and interesting to watch. Also congratulations for finishing it, especially after a broken foot - i broke quite a few bones lol

Personally i prefer this type of content to product reviews and such, they are Personal, you can take away and learn from them and it gets you invested in the progress, but Im biased because I'm somewhat of a runner haha Thought share some feedback, great work nonetheless 🤘

I'm so disappointed. I absolutely loved this Garmin Forerunner 965 & I'm finding it is close to useless at sleep tracking. My return window is about to close so I'm taking it back tomorrow. My sleep is often broken into 2 - 4 hour sections (& it doesn't seem to like that I work graveyard) it's basically useless at tracking my sleep after that first segment. Last night I got 3 hours 42 minutes during time I'd usually be at work but it was my off day. I manually turned on sleep mode. It tracked it. And now all the sleep I just did during regular sleeping hours was completely ignored. I see people saying input manually. For $660 I'm not doing that. My Apple Watch SE first generation for $170 didn't have this issue. So unfortunately, as much as this thing is a behemoth in motivation for fitness, at that price tag with such an important feature in this day & age working so lousy. It must get returned. 😒
