It is however the best type of Revenge if all alternative options result in a very bad outcome for you the point of Revenge is to hurt the other party while not hurting yourself so the whole point of the living well is more aimed at those who believe that you would have a horrible terrible life and not be happy because you'll be surprised how many individuals said the same s*** to me when I was a teenager fast forward a decade now and the only ones who fell into ruin was them and I only found out about their ruination because I actually stopped giving a damn I was happy they were gone and not being toxic and soul-sucking and what made it funny was how they believe they could just Waltz right back into my life like we were buddies or something the best way to say what this thing is best way to say what the saying means is you're not pursuing Revenge and you're leaving at the Fate but sometimes it won't work in your favor you could still live well in the person who Did You Wrong could live a far better life me I never really cared what are they lived a good life or a bad life they're no longer my concern and I don't give a damn however life goes for them good for them I suppose I long stop caring I might chuckle if s*** goes bad for them but more so if it was due to the behavior they exhibited on me then simple bad luck that hits us all because if they were a good person and still get hit by do that would it be satisfying no it's more satisfying when they screw themselves over by their bad behavior that they assumed would never get them in trouble till it did But those are my thoughts some types of Revenge work better for others and some don't I mean you made it obvious that type of Revenge doesn't work for you and that's understandable because you just listed what felt legit some people aren't going to be happy with that especially if the person they want revenge against ends up doing way better it feels like they were right about them and that can hurt some people self-esteem like for example a bully who said you would end up being nothing and despite everything you did they ended up being a success living a successful life no Bad Karma well you didn't make it big and that can really hurt some people self-esteem I feel your only the loser if you let yourself be a loser big end up being some big success and I can end up being some big loser but frankly I don't give a damn because I don't f****** care what they do as I said if I hear bad things happen to someone who did me rotten I might chuckle but at that point they haven't been in my life and I don't care them not being in my life is mean having victory😂 and that's largely because I'm a person who prefers to stick to his own devices if you have something nice to say say it and I will hear it if you got to be a dick weed for the sake of being a dick then I don't want to hear it and you can guess this type of Personality attracts assholes who decide hey let's go f*** with that guy who's not bothering us just because😅 I do pursue revenge on occasion because funny thing with Karma it always seems everyone who did me wrong and anyone who did me good always seem to need me for something always and it's always something that they really need or they're f***** and you can already guess who I give my aide to and who I tell not to let the door hit them on the way out😊 I frankly will not do something that hits me and puts me in a worse position than I was in the point when I wanted my revenge because nothing sucks more than going for revenge and failing or going for revenge and succeeding but f****** yourself over even worse than the person you were getting revenge against or catching others who were uninvolved in The Revenge that you became worst than the person you were getting revenge against this is why I say as I said because revenge is supposed to make things right make you feel better and if it's not going to make you feel better what's the point oven even if you succeed implementing it in the worst possible way that blows you and them up!

@@paulman34340 I'll be honest, I didn't read the whole thing, but going by the beginning and the end, you seem to have a very different view on revenge. It's not supposed to make you feel better; people say that revenge leaves you empty, and it does, but that emptiness IS the point, to extinguish the burn that makes you want revenge in the first place. To allow yourself to move on. Even better if you can move on without revenge, but don't call that revenge; it is not, and it cheapens the "good life" part. Living a good life is not revenge, it's just a nice, good thing we all should strive for. And that "blow them away" is what I meant by "worse winner"

Depends really. If you live your best life and your revenge target ends up living their worse life then yes it is the best revenge possible. You live a good life, they life a bad life, you take no legal or economic damage for the revenge. That said if your both living good lives then your just ignoring what they done and pretending it never happened.

FFS, the Germans even have a word for it- schadenfreude, and it has even been observed in humans as young as 24 months! There is an English word for it, epicaricacy, but it is not as satisfying to say.
