I had traction Alopecia for years, and I got it into control. I saw 4 doctors and they told me to wear wigs. Today i have hair all over. The key is a great hair care routine and know how to choose the products for your hair type. I feel anyone can have long hair. Just look for moisturize hair. Moisturize hair = length . Keep it simple!

I have alopecia on one side of my head. I’ve been using Jamaican Black Castor oil mixed with Shea butter, peppermint, hibiscus and something else. It’s been 3 months since I’ve started using the solution. And I use rice water. There’s a lot of progress on the bald spot in terms of hair growth which great ✨ but I have been considering to wear wigs just so I can focus on growing my hair stronger and longer Basically, I just wanted to ask if what I’m doing is going to work out for me??😅

Omg Same!!! I thought my hair was just naturally thin. I accepted that as fact. But after taking the time to care for my hair for years, and letting my hair be, after finally straightening my hair. You notice the fullness of it. Honestly I was expecting my ends to look all straggly and see through. I think I thought that because of see my hair straight in a relaxer years prior, it looked thin and limp.

@KiraBKADestroyerOfWorlds
@KiraBKADestroyerOfWorlds 3 жыл бұрын
Alot of folks don't realize that texture (fine, medium, coarse) refers to the diameter of your hair shaft, NOT how your hair feels when you touch it--which is more related to curl pattern, porosity, and moisturization. Also, there's a difference between texture (the size of the tree trunks) and density (the NUMBER of trees in the forest). You can have 4c, fine, high density hair, so you have ALOT of hairs on your head, they are tightly coiled, AND each individual hair has a thin diameter.

Yeah. I always was like i have melanin , but even with melanin i use sun screen because I burn. Im from New Jersey and I use to fall asleep outside in the summer. I always considered myself chocolate but at 20 i started to care for my skin more. My skin color has changed. Im not dark like i used to be and i have never bleached. My raccoon eyes are about gone. No extra dark elbows or knees. I put sunscreen on everytime i go anywhere. Especially on my face and when i get in from being exposed to so much sun , i shower with black soap and put on castor oil when im done. Sunscreen helps prevent wrinkles and aging due to sun exposure. The La Pasay Roche i use has anti aging serum in it .

I dreaded wash day, I often went a week or two longer just to avoid washing, conditioning, detangling, blowing, twisting - it took about 3 hours from start to finish. My arms got so tired. I'm over 50, I don't have the time nor the strength! I was going to have go back to perm or cut it. I cut it down to 1.5" inches about 7 months ago! Best thing I have done for myself in a long while! Now I'm in and out the shower in about 30 minutes with clean conditioned hair! I feel so light!

I also only leave it on for a short time. It just makes the curl pattern a little looser. Actually the curl pattern even kind of kinks up again with time, because it is such a relatively gentle processing. I have been doing it for almost 30 years 2x a year or so. I confused avobenzone with the chemical that sparked sunscreen recalls (benzene). What I ended up finding is that avobenzone isn't bad by itself. However, it breaks down too fast and so it is paired with chemicals that are endocrine and estrogen disrupters (octocrylene and homosalate). Tula has homosalate. I also double checked my Black Girl Sunscreen and yeah ... Might be shopping around for a different sunscreen, IF there are any completely safe ones out there.

Try out a rhassoul, kaolin or bentonite clay mask with oils, essential oils, Ayurvedic powders and an acidic liquid like apple cider vinegar, Aloe Vera juice or hibiscus tea. It will step up your game! ❤️😍 I'm here for waist length too.❤️

You are so beautiful, quirky, unique, and engaging (things I aspire to be fall very short). I really like your channel and yes, I subscribed a couple of months ago. I had sudden crown balding in late 2018/early 2019. Not round patches but long and irregular shaped. I think it was because I left hair bleach on my scalp for too long (30 mins) and/or because I hit the top of my head on a doorframe. Scalp was sore, sensitive, and inflamed. I cut my hair off immediately to focus on my scalp, but that was a mistake when going to the dr because then she couldn't see the baldness and my scalp didn't look damaged. She prescribed an antifungal corticosteroid, triamcinolone acetone. It worked! But its only through prescription and after giving me 3 small tubes she didn't wanna prescribe anymore. The balding, soreness, and inflammation came back about two months after using my last tube of triamcinolone acetone. Antibiotic ointment helped but I didn't like petroleum base, so I made my own with peppermint oil, camphor, beeswax, rosemary, and other EOs and carrier oils. My head is almost numb to the tingling sensation but I can feel it and it seems to be working. I don't like plain oils, I like a natural cream or grease base consistency for my 3c/4a hair and scalp.
