I used the seeds, which is much cheaper than the powder. basically you soak it in water overnight, it swells up. you only have to use two tablespoons of seeds by the way and a cup of water and it gives amazing slip you take the leftover seeds after you drain it from the water send that to the blender and it becomes a conditioner. you can take fenugreek seeds and mix with oil, let it infuse and then you have fenugreek oil. fenugreek has a lot of uses.

Glad fenugreek is working for you! So many love it and get good results. WORD OF CAUTION for any woman that wants to try fenugreek. Fenugreek is high in plant based estrogen (phytoestrogen), part of why it aides in hair growth, can help increase breastmilk production, helps with hormonal based acne and growth in other areas. But if you have any hormonal based condition that worsens with the presence of more estrogen (ex. fibroids) you may not want use this (topically or ingesting). I have fibroids and don't want to take a chance with it. I want hair growth but not at the expense of my health.

I just usually throw fenugreek, alma, aloe vera, etc powders in my moisturizing deep conditioner and a splash of oil (olive, castor, Jamaican black castor, etc). One way to avoid powder issues would be to steep it like tea in hot water then strain it in a French press. Then just add the tea to a conditioner. If you are worried about not having oil based components in the extract, you can infuse fenugreek into oil and add a portion of that as well to the conditioner.

I'm sure the fenugreek added something but I think the Melanin shampoo also added something to the mix. I use the 4C Only products with the Melanin and my hair always has coils. Actually used the DC yesterday and the coils were there! Using itt can't hurt though. 😉
