"I SHOULDN'T BE OUT THERE!" - Did Adam Cianciarulo Turn Pro Too Early??

About 10 years ago Adam and I sat down to record an interview in the Florida home of a 17 year old Adam Cianciarulo who was in preparation for his professional debut. AC is now 10 years into his career and he is one of the most liked, loved and followed guys in the sport. He has also had more set backs in his life than most, but in spite of it all is the happiest he has ever been.

AC was bigger than Haiden Deegan back in the day. I do feel sorry for Adam sure he was racing and making money here & there but the mental strain and effort especially when he was so young and very skinny and sending these heavy bikes over jumps. Cool to see the development.

Nah, maybe within the moto industry but Deegan has far more outside reach. Agree with everything else you said though

AC and Deegan are the perfect example of the difference in body development before turning pro. AC was a skinny 16 yr old pushed to turn pro at 16, haiden is bulkier and waited till he was that size at 17 before turning pro, haiden survived this whole year with no injuries to this point where AC won his first 2 races podium his 3rd and was out injured his first big get off at race 4 and realistically it wasn't that big of a get off that hurt him he crashed in the whoops, deegan has crashed in the whoops a couple times this year and just walked away sore

@@bobbygilbert6955I think some of that is purely body type but a lot is also the change of thought in training over the last 10-15 years. The guys are much more bulky and muscular compared to the Ricky/James era. Sexton, Eli, Roczen are all pretty muscular dudes where I think that used to be considered a negative. I bet Jett and Hunter end up bulking more over the next few years. I think power to weight was more of a consideration back in the day where now the bikes and riders cater to rideability, especially in the 450s. Nobody is worried that Chase is too big to be fast.
