Star Light Zone and Scrap Brain Zone really are good levels to end the game on. Edit: I didn’t know you could hit the Star Light boss, that’s cool. I always just launched the spiked balls at him.

I'm similar to Mykonosfan that in many ways I find myself playing 1 over 2 cos of the length, specifically after Mystic Cave Zone. Oil Ocean is tolerable and fine enough, Metropolis Zone being a slog besides being 3 acts, Sky Chase tho I appreciate being a neat story piece to the next zone is restricting and Sky Fortress' not being much better. Just gets alittle taxing for me nowadays. Edit (forgot to add): That all aside, this was a fun lil LP! David did a very good.

But Davidddd! DKC 2 is the one with the Sonic Shoes! Since it wasn't discussed, another minor change that the Whitehead version makes is fixing up Sonic's sprites a bit (most of these appeared in the CD Port first but shut up no-one cares). Sonic now has his white shoe stripes in his spring animation, and also his extended ducking and looking up animations from Sonic 2 are ported over. In addition he has a new modified Sonic 2 hanging sprite when flying with Tails. Tails has new Carrying and Tired flying sprites since he just flew regularly in 2, and 3 has an entirely different set of flying sprites. Tails and Knuckles also have cool ending sprites, even though the final frames are just taken from their respective games. When playing with Sonic & Tails, Sonic jumps up to the screen, while Tails just has his victory animation from 3

To me... Sonic 3 is the one game that takes forever to complete, since its stages are more on the platformer side rather than the speedy side. I can only count 4 stages that made me feel a sense of speed in that game. That's why I always put Sonic 2 as my fav
