Story 1: *"my mom and aunt are furious with me for bringing up the past"* You can bet that if Kate had cheated on Tony down the road, and the old witches had found out that OP knew beforehand, he would have been blamed for NOT bringing it up. *Damned if you do, damned if you don't.* OP did the absolute right thing - he gave his cousin all the information he needed to make an informed decision about his future. What that decision will be is up to the cousin. By the way, the fact that the cousin kept apologizing to OP would confirm people's suspicion that he actually was the guy Kate cheated on OP with - he probably still feels guilty, and that may be part of the reason why he blocked OP.

Is it a form of grooming? I don't know about that, but I agree that it's weird and wrong. My mom was pretty much the exact same way with me. She would make me wear whatever she wanted to dress me up as, since I was her only daughter, even when I didn't like it. She would spend more time with me than my brothers- even when I was a baby, my dad noticed right away that she would be playing with me while my younger brother would be locked in his room. Even the Ursula thing was kind of a one to one. When I was still below the age of 8, she would force me to watch gorey horror movies and, when I would freak out, put me on the naughty step still in clear view of the TV. I don't think grooming is the right term, but I do agree that Sasha is crazy. Especially since she's NOT the mother.

Story 1: This reminds me a lot of a reddit story from a year or two back. The OP had a cousin who wanted to name her daughter Karen. OP knew the cousin wasn't internet savvy, and tried to explain to her what a 'karen' was and why you wouldn't want to name your daughter that in the current cultural climate. OP's cousin, aunt, AND MOTHER all berated her for it! And then, when the kid was born and the cousin finally figured out what a Karen is, OP got yelled at AGAIN for 'not trying hard enough to talk Cousin out of this'. Point being, I don't think OP was winning in this situation. If he's kept his mouth shut and the Ex had cheated, his family would have jumped down his throat. There is a video of the animatronic Ursula's head falling off. For story 2 if there is a section of the ride where a kid is afraid of a specific character, you can have the child cover their eyes so they wont see the character. Story 2: overbearing stepmother needs therapy, cuz she has some screws loose. My niece was levying some discipline one day, discipline that I didn't necessarily agree with and that showed on my face. She looked at me, waiting for me to critique and I told her that before I could honestly criticize her parenting I would need a PhD in psychology, as well as masters in child psychology, and at least 10 years of experience. I think this mother handled the Sasha situation in an exemplary manner. She is NOT controlling, but she is protective! Good job, OP!

Also, both guys and their dads should be very concerned about their moms' reaction.

Story 2 - If you all noticed, the StepMom wanted to do things with OP's daughter that SHE wanted to do. Not what the child wanted. In addition, you take your cues from the parents. You ask them first if you can do something for their child. And if you don't listen, it is blatant disrespect to the parents. It was all about her, which was in fact creepy. She's a grown woman who is acting out her mother/daughter fantasies in front of her husband and his family and sees nothing wrong with it (and neither does her husband). How bizarre.

Story 2: Assuming they physically reached the the Peter Pan ride to check the time, in order to get to the Little Mermaid ride, you would need to pass Its a Small World, Prince Charming’s Carousel, Mickey’s Phillharmagic, 7 Dwarves Mine Train, and Enchanted Tales with Belle. Assuming they were in a random location in the park and were just checking wait times, there would be at least 14 rides with similar or shorter wait times. Additionally, Ariel’s ride is at the very back of the park, in an area that takes a lot of walking to reach. There is no reason to go back there except to ride that ride, as it the only one on that street. Basically, this woman went so far out of her way to ride this ride that it’s not even funny. It was not the next and most logical option no matter where they were when the ride was proposed. There were SO many other options. Sincerely, A former tour guide

Story 2: Absolutely NTA. I hate how lenient people are being with Sasha. Like the woman is extremely touchy feeling with someone else's kids and constantly disregards the parent of said child. Like the woman took the poor baby on a ride with something she KNEW would scare her, then lied about Ursula not being on the ride. Like, if this was a man, Sasha would be on a list. Story 1: OP’s aunt and mother don’t care about their children’s well being and happiness. They just cared about a wedding/party. They’re snakes too what if they knew about the cheating and didn’t say anything. OP I wouldn’t trust them AT ALL and it’s best if you go LC/NC especially towards your mom. She is supposed to have your back. Instead she showed her true colors, your sister is the real MVP. Story 2: I would go NC because if the father doesn’t see it wrong then he is clearly enabling his wife’s behavior. Which is what he already does, he doesn’t seem to “understand” boundaries. You’re not AH but you will be if you continue to have them like this in your life. Your children need to be protected even from family.

Story #2: It's amazing how Disneyworld brings out the worst in some people. Sasha sounds bonkers and more than a little sadistic with her creepy Little Mermaid obsession. If OP wants to apologize, okay, but it's time to put some distance between Sasha and the kids, for both their sakes. As far as Sasha wanting kids (she sounds way too immature to be a parent) that's on her for choosing a guy twenty years her senior with no interest in having more children. It's also on OP's dad for enabling Sasha in spreading her whackadoo all over his daughter and grandkids.

Story 2: I am thinking that her stepmother has always wanted to have a daughter. But tried to convince herself that she was child free because she was with a man who didn’t want any more children. she was probably too afraid or selfish to try to go find a man who is OK with having a child or another child. So to make up for her not having what she probably always wanted. She is overstepping and trying to be a mom instead of being a step Grandma.

Story 2: Sasha is a definite creep & massively overstepping. But what OP is failing to realize, from a child’s perspective that Sasha is being overbearing and their parents are not doing enough to distance themselves from the adult that is showing their daughter, her boundaries do not matter if the person pushes hard enough. OP’s boundaries are already being disrespected but want to maintain a relationship… why?

I would, as a family member of OP’s, be glad he told family that they are together with a cheater She doesn’t even regret the past, otherwise she would have apologized to OP. If you don’t regret past actions, they will repeat again later in life. OP is saving his cousin from a massive world of hurt when his cheating fiancé is going to cheat on him cause a cheater never changes, especially one who doesn’t regret or feel ashamed about cheating by not apologizing whatsoever

The Little Mermaid thing in story 2 was a dick move. That Ursula animatronic is friggin huge and has a whole room to itself. At best, Sasha is an idiot who didn't think one of Disney's most iconic villains would appear on it's own ride. At worst, (and most likely) she intentionally scared the poor kid when she had her alone so she'd be forced to cling to her.

Story 2 as a lifelong Disney parks fan, I wouldn't be able to stand someone like Sasha. Also sounds like it's been about her all the way and not the kids, from forcing Little Mermaid stuff on them and tiaras and everything. And the littlest bit of research into the Little Mermaid ride would've shown the gigantic Ursula animatronic it's known for, it probably would have popped up in a Google image search, goodness. I feel bad for the little kids I see who are clearly in places they don't wanna be because the adults say so.(There are exceptions of course, my parents took care to introduce me to "scarier" attractions in assuring ways so that I'd like them rather than fear them)
