Yes 🤍 I’ve been single my entire life (27) and it really hit me around 24/25 ish how special this time is. One day I am going to wake up to a busy house with kids running around and a husband. So I embrace these quiet free years to myself as mush as I possibly can. And I agree that of course you can grow with a life partner. But there is something really beautiful about growing for some time without that special someone beside you. It forces you to go a few extra miles. It’s not always easy but it’s worth it! ✨

Taking yourself on a dates is such a major key in self love and self care. For anyone reading this, there are so many things you wanna do, places you wanna see and restaurants you want to eat at. Go to them. You don’t need to be with someone else (romantic or not) to go.

Loved this! I too have been going out by myself enjoying my own company. I’m at the phase of life where many people around me are settling down and finding their life partners. As much as I don’t pressure myself, it does impact me in some ways. But I cannot stress the importance of learning about yourself thoroughly and enjoying the now. I try to challenge myself from time to time as well and getting out, doing things you enjoy and love is very wholesome and fulfilling 🥰😇 You can pick any activity you want and don't have to compromise on anything (except for weather-depending activities 😅). It helps me to grow and be more assure of myself and in my surroundings, as I learn to cope with different situations by myself. Of course I enjoy moments with friends (or a special someone in the future), because you can share the joy all together. @@ElenaTaber I suggest that whenever you feel like you need a day with self come to rockaway beach. It will feel like a getaway from Manhattan. Hop on the ferry from Wallstreet. It's such a young fun little town. There is also the rockaway hotel you can check out. Have a cocktail and take a long walk on the boardwalk. Love 💘 you. Be well.

I have always been pretty independent and would attend community events by myself and things like that, but when I was studying abroad and went on my first solo trip to Copenhagen, it was such a shock! To be by myself 100% of the time, and eat all meals by myself and do solo activities was kind of a challenge, I felt bored, anxious, and a little lonely sometimes, and it was valentine’s day while i was there. I was only 20 at the time. But by the end of my studying abroad, I had taken a few trips by myself. my last one to Barcelona felt totally different. I got in the headspace of enjoying my own company and having conversations with myself in my head lol and just thinking less about the fact I was alone. I love the message to push yourself to enjoy some alone time, and that you are the only constant in your own life, and how important it is to build that positive exciting relationship with yourself. It’s so interesting how that relationship changes as you get older!
