I did something similar when I started full-time university three years ago; I allowed around $110 CAD for groceries and $30 for a cheat meal every two weeks. I made a point of visiting as many gas stations as it took until I found the one where I could fuel up for $35, literally half of what the first gas station I went to charged and I only bought clothing every November with whatever gift money I received, and one off-the-rack item to wear to my birthday. I’d bus to my city’s mall and spend hours browsing, yet never buy and I loved the feeling it gave me. Lockdown did put a kink into things. All of a sudden, furniture that I was using 500x more than before was breaking and I basically had to systematically replace my entire living room; Then, I dedicated lockdown to gaining muscle and it worked, but I was all of a sudden a 2XL and had to systematically replace my wardrobe too. And, any time I went outside I felt like I needed to buy a drink. Just last week, I got tired of spending money and put an end to it. To start, I began getting Starbucks on Wednesday and Sunday and only those days. If I wanted something in between, I could buy an energy drink but I force myself to only pay for it with Canadian Tire Points. If I want takeout, every month even morale is low, I get one order from this kickass small Jamaican place I like. Today, I spent an hour browsing clothing online but never adding anything to my cart. Gosh, that felt good!

1. Love it when you have your wife in videos! 2. Eating out=weight gain 3. Great to see a different type of video outside of fitness. 4. Definitely need emergency fund, put all that money towards an emergency savings, you wont regret it. 5. Once you start savings hopefully you can start investing!!!!! Something I never did because I was too poor and wished I had been more disciplined with the little stuff like dunkin donuts coffee and eating out which had i savwd it i eventually could have invested it. Congratulations on your road to financial freedom!

I can relate so hard to the "1 food order per week" rule. That one takeout meal is SOOOO much more satisfying than the 3-5 meals I would order throughout the week. It was special and made me get super excited for it. Plus I saved money.

I thought about this last week....shower thought- in my school we had like 2 tipes of religion classes, art classes , extra math, extra biology and no sex ed, nothing about money management. But the sad part - my parents were equally to my school useless about this topics. Why normal daily stuffs are big no no...

I've tracked every expense for an entire year. Living expenses and recreational/misc. spending for a single guy like myself averages around $2400 a month. I can cut it down by $600 if need be. Once you know what your non-essential spending consists of (eg, takeout, subscriptions, late fees, random recreaton and excess spending), you can eliminate it if need be. There's no good reason to deprive yourself if there's no need to. At the same time, it's good to have a sense of security and a sensible plan for future financial troubles. If you've got a savings-goal or an investment-goal then the habit of tracking your earnings and expenses is a must.

Hey dude, saw some new stuff in this vid that I thought was great. Seems possible that you might read this so i thought id give you some thoughts. Killer funny bits. Loved em a lot. Makes it a bit tonally inconsistent tho. To be honest, i think 1 small change would fix it. When ur talking about serious things you have a serious face that then suddenly cuts to a funny bit. Maybe if you were smiling, and carried over the jokey mood it would be a better transition. There were a couple shots were after a funny bit you cut to yourself talking and you were smiling and it felt so much smoother. Love the funny tho. Keep it up dude, makes me smile when I watch your videos.

I really dislike the whole "data safety" that VPNs are pussing. As an average user your data is not "safer" if you use a VPN. Well... your IP will be hidden from third parties, so no more hrny milfs in the area, but that's about it lol. The only case where important data is safer is if you've got your own servers and are actively hosting something gated by a VPN. It will however let you bypass some ip-range restrictions, I'll give them that. TOR is what you're after if you want to really be safe/anonymous. ...although your ISP will be able to see when you're using it, which might raise suspicion. But there are ways around that, such as connecting to a VPN before TOR, or through obfs4 bridges.

Dude, what's up with your fridge, there's only eggs for complete high quality protein, and extremely bioavailable human nutrition? You need to start at least eating fish, like salmon, or sardines, and meats like lean ground beef, if you're that afraid of saturated fat. Also, dude, up your egg quality. You'd pay like $15 for low quality fast food burritos, but not even any more for pasture raised eggs (vital farms is most trustable), or at the very least cage free eggs (not that great, sense cage free doesn't mean the chickens were 100% grass and bugs, just a small portion, while you can trust "pasture raised"). Things like fruits, and veggies, those are for antioxidants, a bit of a few certain minerals, and vitamin C (but it's in every veggie and fruit, so it's least you should worry about), but not as what you should be stocking up on, especially sense you workout a lot. People thing health is all these veggies and fruits, but have you actually compared nutrition facts of sardines, salmon, steak, etc, to apples, cabbage, berries, etc? Not to mention once your body converts all these plant forms of minerals and vitamins in the body, there's little left, like you need MANY times a amount of omega 3 from like chia seeds to just equal a bit of sardines, but to mention eating nuts have omega 6, which slows down this conversion of ALA so much more. The same can be said about vitamin A, Bs, minerals, etc, from plants, because many nutrients from plants use the same enzymes to covert to human forms of the nutrients, not to mention the fact there's little left after conversion of the nutrients.
