Oil pulling does reverse cavities. It adds essential minerals the teeth need along with probiotics, when added to a healthy diet the cavities will go away. My daughter’s dentist was amazed. She tried to insist on fluoride, which is horribly toxic. I told her to give me 6 months and when we returned, her cavities were gone. No filling, no fluoride 🙌🏻

I'm an old man and constantly something always in my mouth niggling me (one thing or another) and also due to age and coming from an era where teeth care wasn't much considered (certainly in my home no toothpaste at all unfortunately 1960s) but I watched your nice video and remembered my daughter's were all raving about this once and had left some coconut oil on top of my fridge, because they couldn't do it. So next day I did ten minutes and have done so every day since, about 3 weeks now and I can't believe how good my mouth feels, my breath is fresh and it seems to me my teeth are definitely cleaner and I went to the store and bought another jar to continue this routine for rest of my days. If you use coconut oil, don't spit your swish into the sink drain. Spit swish into the trash. Coconut oil can clog drains because it adapts to temperature. If the temperature is warm or hot, coconut oil will be liquid. However, when it's cold, the oil hardens and can affect plumbing.

Also on another note, the reason why people have yellow stains in their teeth is because of hardened tartar that hardened harder doesn't go away when you brush, a dentist will usually scrape it away. But with oil pulling it actually loosens that tartar on your teeth making your teeth whiter because that tartar has bacteria in it The longer it sits, the more decays your teeth and eats away at your enamel.
@Kombaiyashii Жыл бұрын
I'd just like to add that if you've had some enamel eaten away by bacteria, underneath the top layer is naturally more yellowish. So if you get rid of that bacteria and your teeth start to remineralise, the outer layer of enamel comes back which is much whiter.

The last time I went was about 6 years ago (2 years into oil pulling) and there was literally nothing for them to do because I had no plaque or staining, so they just brushed my teeth and told me to keep doing whatever I'm doing...in and out in 10 minutes. I've never had a cavity in my life. I also haven't been sick once since I started, and I don't think that's a coincidence. I recommended it to my dad who suffered all his life from bad sinus infections, and he stopped getting them entirely. I've told basically all my friends and family to do it and the ones who actually tried it all stuck with it, my sister has been doing it for about 3 years now and also stopped going to the dentist. It's a great hangover cure too...just saying.

@@lolobrian4332 I always floss first, yes every single day, then oil pull with cold pressed organic coconut oil for at least 20 minutes. You can buy big tubs of it at Costco or other wholesale places for pretty cheap. I always spit it out outside, just don't spit it down the drain because it will eventually clog, and NEVER swallow it...which would defeat the whole purpose. Then I brush my teeth with only a tsp or so of baking soda and a few drops of peppermint oil. I use the bobs red mills brand of baking soda, although I doubt it really matters. Baking soda is all you need to brush with, I promise, it'll feel like you just got your teeth cleaned at the dentist everytime...and it's dirt cheap. The other benefit of baking soda is that it alkalizes your mouth, which further prevents bad bacteria from from growing. You can mess around with activated charcoal, or other natural toothpastes (they can get expensive though) but if you're still using the fluoride poison in a tube then definitely stop that immediately. You'll notice excellent teeth and oral health, which then improves your gut health, and that directly correlates to overall health...it's a chain reaction of benefits. If you have teeth pain, a cavity, or something like that then you may notice improvement almost immediately, but try to stick with it for at least a month (every single day) for the real results. If you can make it that long, then I guarantee you'll never stop.

I've been oil pulling with organic coconut oil for years. Oil pulling is a common health practice in Ayurvedic medicine and it draws out toxins in your body, primarily to improve oral health but also to benefit your overall health since they're both connected.. It definitely makes your teeth whiter and since coconut oil is high in lauric acid (40-60%) mainly in the form of free fatty acids and monoglycerides, it has antibacterial activity, antiviral, antifungal, antiprotozoal, and can also benefit the immune system. So it does help to ward off tooth decay, gum disease as well as bad breath. If you don't have time to oil pull in the morning, you can do it anytime, in the evening if that fits your schedule better (do it on an empty stomach). After you're done swishing with the oil, spit it out in the garbage bin, not the sink or toilet because over time the oil will coat your pipes, attracting other things that travel through the pipes and can contribute to clogs. Then rinse with warm water to remove any lingering toxins. Fluoride is a neurotoxin so it's not safe despite this common practice in the dental industry. I don't use fluoride toothpaste and I never get cavities. Depending on where you live, it's already in the drinking water.

I have been nagging him for a few years about doing a dental swishing regimen with also applying vlove extract. But with that last apt and suggesting pulling the 2 teeth, he told them he would think about it. I said please try rhe oil pulling with an occasional applying clove extract in his mouth for 6 months. Cloves kill bacteria and help reduce teeth pain. After 6 months he booked for January this year. His teethcleaning required less money than usual even with the $50 deductible. And this time the dental assistant saw nothing wrong. He decided not to tell them what he was doing, because professionals get upset when you mention holistic medicine. Yay

1. Streptococcus mutans is one of the main bacteria in your mouth and a key player in plaque buildup and tooth decay. One 2016 studyTrusted Source in 60 adults showed that oil pulling with coconut oil for 10 minutes daily significantly reduced the number of S. mutans in saliva in as little as 2 weeks, compared to distilled water. An older studyTrusted Source in children concluded that coconut oil was as effective as a standard chlorhexidine mouthwash at reducing S. mutans. 2. Gingivitis is caused by inflammation of the gums and occurs when your immune system starts attacking the bacteria in the plaque. A 2020 studyTrusted Source of 20 adults determined that virgin coconut oil was effective at reducing the accumulation of plaque when used in oil pulling. The authors note that more research is still needed. One 2017 studyTrusted Source involving 40 dental students compared the effects of coconut oil pulling and a placebo. Researchers found oil pulling effective at reducing plaque. 3. Unproven benefits and misconceptions One common claim is that oil pulling can whiten your teeth. Currently, no studies confirm this benefit. Some people also believe that oil pulling is a type of detox that draws toxins from the blood. No evidence supports this idea. Finally, there is no scientific evidence that this remedy helps treat diseases other than those affecting the mouth. 4. The bottom line Oil pulling with coconut oil may reduce your risk of bad breath, cavities, and gingivitis. Many other health claims are associated with oil pulling, but most are not supported by science. Nevertheless, oil pulling seems to have promise as a complementary strategy to improve your oral hygiene.

Coconut oil itself has anti-microbial properties (the fatty acids Lauric Acid and Capric Acid in coconut oil can actually kill bacteria) so at least if you use coconut oil for oil pulling, it WILL help treat gum diseases as well as prevent cavities by killing off some of the bacterial strains in the mouth that can cause them.

@@Openingtheshadow Injection of lignocain to numb the gums where the plaque is growing. Plaque Left to grow it eventually will cause your teeth to fall out as it removes the gum tissue away from the roots and destroys the bone holding the teeth in place. If Tartar is a problem definitely do oil pulling. But Xylitol t.paste works too and chewing gum with Xylitol. Xylitol tablets put inside cheek and allowed to disolve gradually aswell. Also after brushing with clean brush, good quality soft is best as it wont tear inflamed gum tissue, using a clean finger massage gently all around the gums pushing upwards on lowers and down on uppers. This encourages better blood supply to gums healing inflamation and making it easier for gums to grow back over soft dentine below gumline.

@M J well I don’t do it anymore. I think the trick here is as long as you continue to oil pull you are fine. But when I stopped I assume oil pulling was so effective that my organism was missing some bacteria. Anyway I used it the same as normal mouth wash. First mouth wash, then a dental thread and last brushing teeth. And never spit the oil (especially the coconut one) to the sink, because depending on the temperature it can harder in your plumbing.

I’ve began oil pulling for the past two months. I was actually really excited to do so with unrefined coconut oil as weirdly enough I love the smell and natural sweet taste so much so I would eat a spoon here and there before discovering oil pulling 😅. So far my teeth have been extremely white, plaque free, my sinuses are clear I can breathe I’ve also been able to wear a little perfume here and there. I used to only be able to handle fragrances if I took my allergy medicine that would open up my sinuses but oil pulling does that for me. Otherwise perfumes and heavy fragrance cause me major headaches. I’ve also learned oil pulling helps detoxify your body though your tongue and helps metabolism which is great since I’m trying to lose weight. I pull during my shower and after I’m done moisturizing my body I spit it out into a plastic water bottle that I throw out once full. After a week I did notice a weird sensation in my teeth after eating cold salad and hot soup together it didn’t hurt but it felt like my teeth were healing from sensitivity issues. Then the other day I felt sensitive in my molar that I’m pretty sure was on the way to being a cavity or is really sensitive due to my tmj and grinding but I figure that is healing deep down in my gum too from the pulling. Time will tell 🎉

Without changing my bedtime normal brushing with fluoride toothpaste & flossing, I tried various options of oil pulling(20mins each time). Tested oil pulling 3 times/daily for a short while but was forced to give it up because it resulted in very dry mouth. Tested oil pulling once a day followed by normal brushing with fluoride toothpaste. It didn’t really help to resolve sensitive gum issues. Tested oil pulling daily in the morning followed by lightly brushing without toothpaste. It did help to resolve sensitive gum issues. It’s the fluoride toothpaste thats hurting your gums, duh. You don’t need to brush your teeth after you’ve done the oil pulling. Stop falling for the fluoride nonsense. It’s toxic. I’ve been brushing with only coconut oil and pink salt for 10 years. I haven’t used a fluoride toothpaste in 35 years and I’ve only had one cavity in my whole life about 15 years ago. I stopped using regular commercial toothpaste when I was 17 and that was 35 years ago. After that whenever I did try using commercial toothpaste my gums hurt the next day. You need to have a healthy Microbiome in your mouth. Not to mention the fluoride damages the pineal gland. The whole fluoride thing is such a big scam. I don’t wanna go into it but it’s ridiculous. It was never proven to do anything helpful. So brush your teeth first with something simple like coconut oil and salt or bentonite clay, or a natural toothpaste like toms fluoride free toothpaste for sensitive teeth. After that do the oil pulling, then spit it out in the trash.
@pat40052 жыл бұрын
Flouride is a very unhealthy substance to begin with. And I think many people here are doing the oil pulling and teeth brushing in the wrong order! Anyways coconut oil pulling is great for teeth and gums. I coconut oil pull daily for years although i wouldnt do it daily until the last few years. In my experience it will not grow your gums back but will maybe stop recession or slow it down and get rid of bleeding , inflammation, infections. I recently found some new info about cell salts being important for teeth & gums. I also started to rub sea moss gel into my gums 2x a day after brushing and it feels really good, sea moss is full of minerals ( i make my own) sea moss is cheap in asian countries and thats where i am. In the US jta more expensive but worth it. I have also started to take my quail eggshells i use from when i eat eggs everyday , boil them, dry them & grind them. I take a small amount daily of the powder in my drink only 1/4 tsp and i also make a tooth putty with a bunch of natural ingredients for teeth remin eralizing & put it on my teeth where i need help from years of tmj that wore my teeth down. Im experiementing to see it it helps my enamel come back.

The easiest way to prevent cavities is to eat healthy, and avoid sugar. I haven’t used fluoride toothpaste in almost 20 years and I have not had any cavities. The last time I had issues with my teeth was about 15-16 years ago, when I still ate a lot of sugary foods. I had a particular addiction to crystallised ginger, and it was really bad in my teeth. The only sugary foods I consume now are ones with natural sugar, like honey and fruit. If I eat sweets, like chocolate, it’s dark chocolate, so less sugar. No sugar, no fluoride-fluoride is very toxic, and just eat healthy. I’ve tried oil pulling before but didn’t stay committed. Thank you for honest feedback. Might try it again. 😊

I recommended oil pulling to my cousin and her dentist told her to keep on doing what she was doing. I'm not a fan of flouride or root canals because of the toxicity of flouride and the propaganda about it improving cavities. Personally I haven't gone near flouride for over twenty years and I have no cavities...still. I also feel that root canals are dangerous to the body because of the inability of toxins that may still be present getting sealed inside the tooth and backing up into the body. Knowledgeable doctors advise that a tooth be pulled rather than be sealed as a " condominium for fecal bacteria:. That's my opinion, but I can say that oil pulling cleared up my skin when absolutely nothing else worked.

@puidemare23372 жыл бұрын
I think whiteness, as well as overall health, has more to do with the kind of nutrients you put into your body. For example, the Massai people only drink cow's milk and blood and their teeth are incredibly white and they're health is free of disease. I was vegetarian/vegan for too many years and my oral health was very weak. I had receding gums and it always bled. My teeth were brittle and sensitive. I had cavities and a root canal. Once I dropped all the plant based food and started eating a heavy meat based diet my gums grew back, the sensitivity went away and no more cavities. In addition to that, all my digestive and skin issues disappeared. I have loads of energy. I couldn't be depressed if I tried. I think our body can function optimally only when it gets all the right nutrients.

It depends on your diet and situation. This all came about when researchers noticed how perfect the teeth were in many South Pacific Islanders. When they moved to Western countries they had terrible problems with cavities and generally bad teeth so they knew it was not genetic but diet. The answer was coconuts. They were eaten daily and they made up a large part of their diets and so oil pulling was born. They also did not have floss, toothbrushes or Dentists. If you are part of the Billion dollar teeth industry then I guess you would not want this to become widely known. Pulling the oil through your teeth at high velocity works better than flossing anyway. I still use super thin toothpicks as I love picking at my teeth even though I know it is not necessary. (Especially after dinner as oil pulling is my morning routine)

Brushing actually wears the enamel down--peeps were often taught to "scrub" their teeth, & some of us can't help but apply too much pressure while brushing so our gums get sore from the inadvertent scraping of bristles. Friend's very old dentist sd toothpaste makers invented the 'brush after every meal' & in his erxperience that increased unnecessary/premature loss of tooth enamel in most of his patients--which also produces yellowed teeth. The components in the wax plastic string & other materials in floss directly contact gums which are highly vascular & will easily absorb, go directly into the bloodstream many their substances & those used to produce them. My dentist sd warm salt water *1 flat tsp in 12oz h2o) was proven, years+years ago to cure gum disease, & sore throats--I can attest to that. He also sd massaging our gums does a lot to keep gums strong/health & therefore gums don't recede causing tooth loss as se age. I wonder if the oil going back & forth thu teeth provides a stimulation of blood supply similar to his recommendation...

The dentist used scare tactics about how they were going to snap out, and had no solutions other than making up a story that I grind my teeth and I needed to buy a mouthguard. When I thought about what I was doing- flossing and brushing like crazy, it became obvious that I was causing all the irritation and recession. Some things I'm using besides coconut oil is baking soda, pink salt, borax, and pine gum spirits (turpentine). My gums feel soothed and my mouth feels cleaner.

One of my top side teeth had a bit of a missing filling and was starting to niggle in the last Year or so. Dentist said it's likely going to have to come out as they can't re-fill it again. I started oil pulling a couple of Months ago, not regular, just couple of times a week. Now, that tooth that was giving me more and more sensitivity, is now not sensitive at all. My teeth are whiter as well, despite being a smoker and coffee drinker. As I'm now seeing results like this only doing it here and there, I'm stepping up the regime to try to stick to doing it once a day. Coconut oil is not unpleasant at all, it's actually a nice nutty creamy taste, sometimes I want to swallow it. My partner is also doing it and getting the same results and fresher breath and said they don't have that usual kind of bottom of a bin taste in their mouth!

Thank you for sharing your results after such an extended and disciplined experiment. I agree with most of what you said, except for the popular claim that fluoride prevents cavities; I've lived most of my life brushing my teeth with fluoride-containing toothpaste, and I still got several cavities; I also lived the last 5 years or so using non-fluoride organic toothpaste, and I also got at least a couple of cavity-related problems. @@mrsmarple2655 Were you scraping too hard and/or have dry mouth? Cleansing the tongue is important, and having a proper technique will reduce injury. You may want to review with your hygienist or dentist if you do notice debris accumulating. I am an oral medicine specialist, and I do recommend tongue scraping with proper technique and not being overzealous. Depending on the dryness and appearance of the tongue, I recommend different options and always remind people not to press too hard. Since you mentioned you had a lot of problems and seem to have a regimen you enjoy, I anticipate you may not try again- but if you do, I would speak with your dentist first to see if there is a different way than what previously caused problems for you.

Why wouldn't oil pulling NOT help with a cavity? If it pulls bacteria out then it would pull the bacteria out of a cavity and allow you to keep it clean while the tooth grows back.
@maessu92332 жыл бұрын

Peroxide does seem to help with some more superficial cavities, given that the cavity bacteria switch within about 45 seconds from anaerobic to aerobic or are just killed by the extra oxygen. It’s in the anaerobic phase that they break down tooth tissue. The oil seems to help the connective tissue of the tooth. Implants made from demineralized teeth, say from animals, then shaped for the particular location have been used to grow teeth, providing a matrix for remineralization. So if you have teeth, depending on the situation, sometimes use of peroxide occasionally, then more frequent oil pulling, might be helpful. People can develop their own system, whatever is effective for them.

I agree don't stop brushing or flossing. Isn't it interesting or obvious many things happen in our lives that were more positive when we started working from home. I implemented two natural health strategies since I've been working from home plus less stressed now that there's no commute. I don't think I will ever want to go back to an office again. I don't have bad breath but I have really issues with aluminum in the deodorant, I was able to do a detox when I was working from home then chg to natural deodorants. Oil pulling was brought to my attention through other self-help initiatives and I believe that if you keep your gums healthy and clean that will also help with internal issues throughout your body.

Thanks for the matter of fact review! Adding xylitol to the diet instead of sugar or as gum before or after meals can also have a fantastic effect, particularly for preventing and slowing decay, and for me it's made bad breath pretty much go away, which is great. Obviously if you can cut out sugars completely that makes a vast difference, but it can be very tough to do and stick to.

Do bear in mind, Xylitol in quantity is an aperient (laxitive), & will eventually flatten the Microvilli in your gut, which in turn can promote Irritable Bowel Syndrome in later life....Fundamentally, everything in moderation.
@TheAJC1002 жыл бұрын
Xylitol doesn’t necessarily fix anything itself but it DOES increase saliva and in turn the enzymes and bacteria necessary to break down food particles in your mouth. So it helps in a roundabout way with plaque and such, and prevents bad breath through the same mechanisms.

I did as I have been dealing with psoriasis for decades in my entire body. And guess what: the psoriasis rescinded for a long time, no more crisis. Interesting fact; in india, people brush teet with coconut oil (greese), and kurkuma added to it. It will compose a toothpase-like mix, and you literally can brush your teeth with it. Kurkuma is ancient medical herb, well known in india, and used by everyone, because cheap, antibacterial. Be careful with kurkuma powder, because its a natural paint - will paint your tounge, and brush when added alone, without coconut oil. In mix, will be less painting.

I brush with organic herbs (myrrh, oak bark, neem, plantain, yarrow, peppermint, sage, liquorice, clove, cinnamon, cardamom) then oil pull after brushing while herbs still in mouth. Tongue scraping is very different it removes toxins that build up on the tongue in the mornings. A healthy dental practice can reduce development of cavities and bacteria overgrowth, since teeth are connected to organs through meridians it’s more important than most realize. If anyone has mystery illnesses (and you’ve had root canal) watch the documentary ‘Root Cause’ it’s an eye opener how root canals can cause inflammation and disease if there’s bacteria, infection that can develop afterwards (without your knowledge) This is such an important topic, thank you for your video and brining attention to this. Then I started oil pulling 2 table spoons of coconut oil three times a day and 5 minutes of teetree oil water solution before each oil pulling. After not long toothache went away and I cancelled my appointment to extract that tooth.
