YO! Super surprised to see myself in your video haha. You make some really good points here. The reason I turned off comments on the video was because we got A LOT of hate for posting something that goes against the grain. You know how KZbin comments be sometimes. I do appreciate you making this response video because it shows me that more needs to be done to investigate this topic. We could have been more comprehensive and taken more samples of bacteria from multiple areas. I also could have been more thorough with my experiment. Thank you for sharing! We’re going to do a follow up video on this topic and I’ll be sure to mention you and your constructive criticism. We always pride ourselves in giving honest analysis on these topics. If you have any advice of what you’d like to see in our follow up video we would greatly appreciate it! All the best, keep doing what you do. 🙏🏼

@@RobotronSage it’s hard for a dentist to admit that they could potentially not be needed. I do oil pulling and my dentist laughed at 1st and when I went back 6 mo later for a cleaning she admitted that there’s a difference in the amount of plaque, teeth were whiter and overall mouth health. It’s a long process but it works to do every day but it actually works!

No lie! I was browsing looking for home remedies for tooth sensitivity and it was a dentist who introduced me to oil pulling. He made a video of remedies that have no research and his biggest argument to oil pulling was that it tasted weird in his mouth. He ended the video saying, "I'll stick to my electric toothbrush" and started showing different brands of electric tooth brushes. It looked like a commercial for toothbrushes.

It's the same principle for vets and "prescription" food. Some of it is genuinely necessary but by FAR the majority is just extremely expensive maintenance feed that is by and large identical to many far cheaper brands. I have an honors degree in animal physiology, which covers nutrition (requirements, ingredients and legal verbiage) extensively; conclusions? Most vets are punting some criminally overpriced brands because they are sponsored by those companies

Oil pulling worked for me. I was referred to the dental hospital by my dentist. During the consultation with consultant he said I had periodontisis and recommended a couple of sessions with the dental hygienist. I had had a front tooth removed previously and he said because the bone had receded there was nothing that could be done. I had 4 sessions with the hygienist. I started oil pulling with coconut oil, flossing and increased my vit c etc supplements. When I went back to see the consultant he was amazed and kept going back to the previous images- this time he was pushing for me to have an implant for my missing tooth. I declined as I have enough metal in my face. He said I had done a brilliant job and there was nothing else he could do. So oil pull brush your teeth floss and look after your immune system
@Susie.wemove
@Susie.wemove 2 жыл бұрын
@Billy William that was the initial recommendation by the consultant. To have appointments with the hygienist and they would review it after that. I had the sessions with the hygienist. I used interdental sticks first- oil pulled with raw coconut oil and brushed my teeth. At the time I was using a natural toothpaste. I m sure the usual fluoride based ones work just as good. I oil pulled twice a day.

Why is anyone surprised that a dentist denounced oil pulling? When I first saw Nemeth’s video, my first thought was that of course he is going to be dismissive of it-if something like this works, it’s going to affect his bottom line. @K Conrad you are so right. I have really had more bad experiences with doctors than good experiences. I try to avoid pharmaceuticals like the plague. Now I am going to have to get a new doctor, after having him for years. Well, I do take one medicine, Hydrocort. That’s why I go to see him to get it. When I saw him this last time I thought he might be interested in something that had been a help me, maybe even want to share it with others. How naïve of me. I told him how Using reflexology for the kidney area cleared up a bladder problem in just one day. I was really amazed. He looked downright angry. He didn’t give me any eye contact and curtly told me he would see me in a year. When I temporarily had high blood pressure, he put me on a prescription which I tried but it had side effects, so I gave it up and got my blood pressure down by natural means. He told me that the blood pressure medicine did not have any side effects, when I expressed concern about that. Then when I told him that the blood pressure medicine had indeed caused side effects, he said that all medicines cause side effects. How contradictory. There is much more I could say but it would probably be boring, about how doctors have misdiagnosed and misled me.

A friend of mine had a cavity in an inner molar that was inaccessible to work on, so the dentist recommended extracting it. His assistant felt sorry for my friend and she recommended oil pulling. This procedure healed the cavity and saved his tooth. I have been doing oil pulling for over 5 years and my yearly trip to the dentist for cavity treatment / crown replacement ended completely. Since then I have had no more dental work, except for a repair in a broken tooth. So in my experience, IT WORKS. Dentists don't mention oil pulling, because it does not bring them any income.

Okay. I went to my dentist this last February and he gave me the bad news that I had gum disease and I would probably eventually lose all my teeth. Devastated, I looked for any solution and I tried oil pulling mostly daily, but regularly, until my next appointment in June. Dentist then said my gums looked much better and I could get the bridge i needed since the support teeth were healthy as were the gums. I still got a deep cleaning, but I didn't bleed very much, and the hygienist said i had good gums for someone my age, 69. So it might not work for some people but it seems to have worked for me. Thanks for your video.

I talk about that experience in this recent video, it seems we might have had very similar experiences haha. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoOWiIlvbq1qp7c At the end of the day, I am glad you are caviating it at the end that it might not work for everyone because it really depends on so many factors like genetics, oral hygiene routine, diet etc. I am glad that it worked for you and that you shared your experience with others that might be in a similar situation like you were back in February. @@purplearmy2090yes, best to spit it out into a food trash bin so as not to clog up drains. @purplearmy2090 . I have been oil pulling for 8 years. First thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything, put a table spoon of organic/cold pressed/unrefined coconut oil in your mouth. Push & pull the oil through your teeth for 10-15 mins, ideally 20 mins. Spit the oil in the garbage can, rinse your mouth with water and brush your teeth. I love it. I recently started oil pulling, but I’ll say this. I stopped using regular toothpaste and used a powder made with betonite clay, eggshells, sea salt, and I flossed regularly. They say periodontitis doesn’t get better. But I never tell my dentists what I do because I believe they’re always looking to sell me on the most expensive thing. Basically I had let my pockets get to 4’s-5’s and some 6’s. The last time I went to the dentist. Which also because of some mental health issues I took nearly a year to get back to the dentist. So it was a long time to wait for a cleaning. My pockets had become mostly 1’s and some 3’s. The hygienist said my gums look good. Which is the first time I’ve heard that since I was a kid.

Oil pulling isn't a miracle treatment. But it definitely made a difference to the health of my gums and lessen the sensitivity to my teeth. All the dentists i have seen told me that my gums are very healthy. I have been practicing oil pulling on and off for over ten years. And I can definitely feel the difference when I don't do it for a period of time. It had also helped improved my gut health when I do it twice a day. The lady that taught me about oil pulling had a rash on her leg for years, and after she did oil pulling 3x a day (before meals) for 2 months, the rash completely disappeared. It help her with her gut health as well. So I would say that people that don't see the benefit are the ones that didn't practice probably or for long enough time to see the results.

Superb to see this… I’ve started oil pulling a few days ago and actually do it while doing other things and even look forward to it. It has a feel good factor about it and mouth feels clean after it. The guy at the end saying it’s a pain and takes time has a very arrogant manner about him and probably has a stake in debunking it’s very likely, very possible benefits. I am embarking on continuing it alongside a complete mouth care system devised by Dr Ellie in order to try and protect my receding gums and deep pockets and thus hopefully avoiding the all too frequent dental cleans I have been going for which I believe may indeed have kept things in check but seeing as I do not feel I have any oral hygiene problem I do find it excessive and hopefully unnecessary. Dental cleaning might even be going against gum recession healing since it strips away the good bacteria along with the bad which is logically not that great. We live and learn and contrary to all that is promoted by pharmaceutical products the most natural ways are often just as good if not better. Here I am as well as so many others I believe, trying to combine both approaches in the hope of finding a balance and a synergy between the two.

Totally gone since oil pulling So something beneficial is happening for me snd I only do it for five or so minutes a day .My teeth have also definitely gotten noticeably whiter. Dentists have an interest in downplaying the benefits. But I would recommend it and like I said I only do it for five minutes or so a day.

Very good detective work. And what about the financial interest. Disprove one method and promote another while at the same time having financial interest in the promotion is automatically an invalid product/service promotion. I watched both videos while oil pulling. Not a waste of time at all. If you want to further enhance your oil pulling, just put a drop or two of hydrogen peroxide 3% in with the oil.

Get on this train my people. Cheap and effective way to treat and save your teeth, your gums, your breath, etc. It doesn't replace ALL other mouth care, ok? But add this to your routine and you won't regret it. If nothing else, instead of doing it twice a month I'll increase the use of "oil pulling". Thx for the vid doc👍🤜🤛👏✨️🙌

I do think oil pulling works but I also believe there needs to be a physical removal of any hardened plaques or plaque beneath the gums. This won’t be removed with oil pulling. I had periodontal disease that had developed and while oil pulling and things did help somewhat it wasn’t enough. I did also get those plaques cleaned away at the dentist. And now I make sure to keep up with cleaning regularly. I would say the number one thing is the physical removal of debris and the beginning formations of plaque daily. I just oil pull once in a while, but it’s just one tool I use to keep my oral health in good form.

Agreed you definitely need those pockets and your teeth professionally cleaned. I have some periodontal right now probably early stage 2. Haven't been to a dentist in 12 years roughly. Going to get my teeth cleaned in a couple of months when I can afford it. I use oil pulling daily alongside a waterpik oscillating electric toothbrush restorative mouthwash dental floss and a Japanese toothpaste. While having cut out 90% of added sugar from my daily consumption. Yet the pockets continue to get worse on 5 or 6 of my teeth still. Which they probably will until I get a professional cleaning done to remove the plaque and tartar build up of 12 years.

@@user-gz4ve8mw9l yes it can be a struggle! I totally get it. Once you get the cleaning done, you will feel better. and to let you know, the depth of my pockets improved drastically after getting the deep clean and then taking care of things regularly. all my pockets are now like 1's or 2's and they are always surprised how there is practically nothing to clean out at the dentist appointment lol. Only other suggestion I have for you is that if you can, get some interdental brushes. I use ones called picksters. They really help clean out between the teeth. Hope your oral health will get better too!
@nolanh9659
@nolanh9659 2 жыл бұрын
I bought into giving oil pulling a try and did so for about a year. I improved my oral health by using my dental cleanings as a benchmark. I think oil pulling was the best that those in India had at the time. Now, after I brush in the morning, I do not spit out the toothpaste. For about 4 min I "oil pull" with the toothpaste/saliva mixture before rinsing. I average doing this 6 times a week. I typically do not eat lunch and do not brush after dinner. Prior to oil pulling, I didn't get good reports from my dentist. Now I get unsolicited comments like "whatever you are doing, keep doing it" and " you do a good job of flossing" (I rarely floss). In my layman's opinion, oil pulling with fluoride toothpaste is an improved version of oil pulling. There is no additional cost and a much shorter time commitment.

Oil pulling is legitimate. I've used it to help with sensitive teeth and have noticed immediate results. My daughter had the same experience. Diet also had a major impact on tooth health. Our modern diet is garbage. Meats and veggies (the ones that don't leave you with negative symptoms such as bloating, etc.) should be the majority of your diet with very little, if any, carbohydrates. By the way, its gingivitus, not gingervitus. ;)

You don't need the expensive oil, you can use very cheap refined oil according to Bruce Fife's research, which is based on Dr. Karachs research who made oil pulling popular. The reason is because you are not to swallow the oil, and no oil is being absorbed by gums. Also, if you have a condition it is recommended doing three 20min sessions per day - you will see results faster.

*Update* I ended up going to my appointment on the 5th to have my first round of root scaling and plaining. I brought up that I was oil-pulling, and this is what she said. Oil pulling is a great way to remove the additional build-up on the teeth, those big chunks that come off are being removed and do help, but its only scratching the surface, what it will not affect at all is the original plaque and calcium that is pretty much welded onto the teeth. Anything to help with "flossing" even using the natural method (oil pulling) is great, but use it in addition to flossing, while it did help. it is not the cure, unfortunately. The only way to remove that type of buildup it to have it professionally removed. Good thing though as long as the damage to your gums is not severe, and you have suffered no bone loss, your gums will grow back around the tooth and become healthy again. I know its not the update you wanted. but when it comes to teeth, I guess you have to do all the things to keep them clean and healthy.

when you start oil pulling with coconut oil first of all you need to do it 3 times a day if you can, if that is impractical because of work or daytime commitments then do it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, twice a day and you will feel the benefit after two months...and it works...the test where the patient did it only every evening and measured results after 30 days is not really an accurate test....there was some improvement, but after two months the improvement would be more noticeable...oil pulling is not an instant result, it is a gradual one, it takes time and discipline to do it, but the rewards are immense....I've been doing it for years, it works for me.

The optimal health benefit concerning oil pulling with castor oil will be to swallow this afterwards. So you will have to take regularly early in the morning on an empty stomach 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil in your mouth and mix this there with your saliva for 30 minutes before swallowing this one. While doing this you will not remark anything of the bad taste of castor oil for the receptors concerning castor oil are in the background of the mouth. By salivating castor oil for a sufficient time this one will lose its bad taste, its high viscosity and will no more irritate the mucosa of the stomach. In this manner not only the waste in your intestines will be pushed out but all the toxins deposed in your body (especially methylmercury!) via the liver too.

This deffo proves it works, dentists have a problem with oil pulling because natural remedies will put them out of business if they take the helm of dental hygiene

I've been doing Ayurvedic oil pulling . For a month in the mornings my mouth feels more fresher and cleaner compared to before. It does work. Rest of the results I am waiting and monitoring ❤🎉

About to start my oil pulling journey, I gotta say, squint your eyes and look for shape, felt a bit bullsh*t but the counting of the bacteria seemed like a really good debunk, I have deep gum pockets and a few issues in general, I am gonna try oil pulling for a month before next appointment and see how it goes.

Thanks you so much this is concerning how ppl would mighty just not do more research and ppl need to understand that the long term goal is how can you just do oil pulling for 35 day when you have done the damages for years so this is a great video good work and we need more honestly heros like you that truly want to show ppl that they ppl out there that has no 😂in your Heath but the best part is now you can see how it's to discern ppl on what they are saying. Just because you didn't do a dramatic tv hero stuff to me just showing small truth to ppl life is a hero to me. Very much appreciated how you can help others that might not otherwise know how to do the comparison. Great video keep up the amazing work. Little work can show you big results.
