Here in Australia, UV is often high. I just ask my Google device - right now it tells me it's very high at 8 and will increase to 10. So I get that info for free... However, convincing others that tanning is skin damage, that you need sunscreen when if the day isn't hot is difficult. Maybe those people would listen to a piece of tech, ie it's proof? Texh is awesome. Glad you have a jacket with built in cuddles ❤

This tech is pretty interesting, I never heard of any of it! I'm from the UK and we have a UV index of zero for most of the year, I haven't seen the sun in months, and maybe a 1-2 in summer but rarely over two. That is why people here see sunscreen as that thing you wear when you go to Spain, and hence it's sold in "summer", but once it hits September all the sunscreens gets shoved somewhere in the back of the store and people forget about its existence. So that sunware device would be permanently dead where I live lol

Hi Alice, I'm curious what is the variability like for that AI device? If you scan your face 3 times in one day, do the scans give you consistent results?
@AliceintheRabbitHole16 күн бұрын
So, yes and no! I used the muilli meter before and after the Biodance style mask (this will be in a video this Friday; got some k-beauty to review!) and only two measurements changed significantly: dryness & redness. How interesting is that!! I do think there is some deviation, but it’s slight. For example, dryness dropped from 58 to 43, but wrinkles actually went up from 27 to 28. This makes sense to me as we often have this kind of data in my own lab (and it’s why we talk about statistical significance in studies vs look at all measures)

Is that personal analysis device something that you could buy and share with a group? Or something that only one person can use? I'm thinking at that price that my IRL skincare friends and I could pool the cost and then each use it.
@AliceintheRabbitHole16 күн бұрын
Absolutely works for groups. The first screen lets you use your default account or add a “guest” I also think they might be targeting estheticians to purchase it for multiple client usage - saw a feel reels suggesting that!

Potentially stupid question: if you already know your skin type/sensitivity/skin care goals, is there something distinct about the ai skincare beyond the analysis part?
@AliceintheRabbitHole16 күн бұрын
Not a stupid question ☺️ I’ve reviewed quite a few custom skincare programs, and I can definitely say: it’s a tricky one for skincare enthusiasts. It really sounds like a perfect solution for non-skincare enthusiasts (and ESPECIALLY people who don’t want to be bothered by figuring out skincare, but do want the benefits). However for those of us who enjoy the part where we try products, it does feel harder to imagine us sticking with any kind of customization. That said, I feel like this model might have appeal simply because of how different it is. It actually reminds me a lot of the skincare equivalent of Bite Beauty’s lip lab!
@elacampusano734116 күн бұрын
Alice, I think it's a great innovation, but I think it still has some flaws because artificial intelligence can't know your personal preferences in terms of skincare, but perhaps in the near future the robot could take into account the textures of the products and other preferences, and it could also do a survey in terms of the ingredients you want in your products and the finishes, for example if you prefer it not to feel heavy on the skin or vice versa. Also, the skin on one day can be more dehydrated than others depending on the climatic fluctuations and also the differences in the skin during the day versus at night, for example. I was also left speechless with the new technology. A hug and I hope you are very well as always 😘
@AliceintheRabbitHole16 күн бұрын
Yup I had the same thought about minor fluctuations. Granted, i do think the tech probably takes that into account! I love your idea on textures; that’s a great idea for the company!
@SmartSKNlabs15 күн бұрын
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. It means a lot, and we truly value your feedback! The best part is that’s exactly what this innovation does! 😊 The AI not only customizes the active ingredients but also adapts the base texture and oil levels to perfectly match your skin’s real-time needs. What’s truly remarkable is its adaptability. With every scan, the system analyzes your skin’s current condition-whether it’s responding to climate shifts, hormonal changes, or other factors-and adjusts the formula accordingly.

Welp, see, the problem with acne is that it really isn’t just one cause/effect. If it was, it would be a lot easier to treat (while some of us are almost 40 and still get breakouts 😭) For me, it’s hormonal and exacerbated by inflammation.

Omg those devices are such gimmicks 😂🤦🏻♀️. First of all, HOW can that little handheld device, pointed to one small spot on your cheek, and forehead, determine your wrinkle level? And, I’m willing to bet, they have all that skincare sitting in a warehouse, just like all other skincare, with different skincare needs, and the same skincare is delivered to different people, based on their needs. They probably determine skincare needs, based on the profile created in the beginning of the process. The sun-a-wear or whatever it’s called lol, is also a gimmick. We can all see and feel the sun. Do we really need a device to tell us the sun rays are high? lol. Out on the water, obviously the UV rays will be higher, behind clouds, or in the shade, obviously less sun rays will hit you. 🤦🏻♀️
