I worked out at a gym 3 days a week (mauy thai) and during quarantine I do it 5 days a week at home (resistance band). I have started sweating a lot more in my 40s. I have bra strength relaxed length hair and I wear it curled and out, before a workout I pineapple my hair up with a claw or a if straight a high ponytail wrapped around out of the way. I let my hair dry completely after and that is it. I can't say that my edges are any worse for wear and I wash every other week. The benefits of health will always be top priority.

You did a really good job Eboni researching them. Each one has their own special benefits for coverage or aesthetics. Your edges looked great afterwards in both.

Yes! Thank you! I’m going to use both :)

Agreed...such a thorough review. I never even knew about these types of bands/wraps. Thanks for the info!

Do you feel like either of these break your edges off if you wear them frequently? (I workout a lot) I’ve experienced breakage from other headbands

Hey, thank you for the video. Have you ever tried mesh-type bands? I wonder if they are worth the extra price

Your edges don’t count, if your hair’s relaxed.

how do you keep your hair looking fresh in between washes when exercising? I heard dry shampoos aren't really good on keratin treated hair... so what else? the headbands absorb some sweat, but not all of it
@twolala13 жыл бұрын
Dry shampoo works for me..is there a reason why dry shampoo won’t work for keratin treated hair? The key is letting your whole head dry after working out. If your roots are extremely messed up, I would spritz in some leave in and light blow dry ( wouldn’t do this all the time tho)

@@twolala1 another video mentioned the alcohol can strip the keratin faster.. unless you have a suggestion for a powder one that isn't expensive and doesn't leave a white residue

Do you recommend wrapping your hair for shorter hair relaxed girls or pulling into a bun
@twolala13 жыл бұрын
I would say bun when working out..I have seen people workout with wrapped hair but I’ve never tried it :)

@@nicolefisher4779 do you have natural or perm hair? Do you feel that made a difference if you have a perm?
@nicolefisher47792 жыл бұрын
@@keandrishogan369 I do have a perm and I like it for my edges. The key was to keep it on for as long as possible after you workout so the band absorbs most of the sweat and you hair dries straight. I sweat really bad in the middle of my head so there’s really no magic solution for me but if you sweat lightly and only on your forehead the gym wrap works great.
