Pretty well done honestly, for a first project :) ... I always use a cheapo USB microscope - get a mega zoom and see it on your PC; then you get in there with a multimeter and check for continuity or shorts .. ie: there are oftern 'solder bridges' between pins, that you can't see, and that'll kill things; or else a pin isn't making a good connection. Without an osciliscope etc its hard, but just using solder, a wick, a multimeter, and a microscope or magnifier, you can probably get it sorted out. If you just solder and pray, its rolling the dice with bad odds. But you're so close!

Please consider using a grounding wrist strap on your next project to prevent a static electricity discharge! The cloth chair and the wool clothing is not a good combo for working on electronics. I think your viewers already comment on the food with bare electronics around, hehe, so I wont say anything further. Otherwise, you did a great job!
