As someone who exercises a lot but still only a tiny fraction as much as Tom Brady, methinks he eats substantially more calories than this in a day. The recipes all look delicious, though. Definitely going to try that method with the broccoli, I like how it keeps the broccoli stem and makes it seem appetizing.

Microwaving isn’t healthy
@raymarks743015 күн бұрын
I made the chickpeas the way the recipe says (20 mins at 400f) and they are not crunchy. How do you make them (and I disagree … microwaving is not unhealthy … it simply excites water molecules which create heat)
@justinberry903015 күн бұрын
@@raymarks7430 pat the chickpeas dry and throw them in the microwave for about 5-8 minutes. Then you can further crisp them in a pan with spices and herbs. Internet Shaquille has a great video on this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3a4aGmnaLuZabMsi=1ZrHNXVRW2Mw-nPv

@louisar422716 күн бұрын
I’m guessing that the protein in the third meal comes from the almonds in the romesco sauce. None of the meals contained grains. Grains are really not that good for you. If he’s eating for performance, then I get it.

This does not seem like a particularly high protein diet. I mean, broccoli for dinner? I would use that as an appetizer perhaps, but not a meal. But the sauces sound good. (This isn't a knock on. your video, btw, just an observation on what TB apparently thinks is a high protein diet.)
@BryanMartinlaxcoachАй бұрын
At 1.65 grams of protein per kilogram of bodyweight there is no difference in strength and size. That would be .87 grams per lb of bodyweight. Protein is overrated in the diet. Carbs and fat is what fuel the athlete for competition. Protein is what helps recovery throughout the body. We have a bad view of the true body needs for athletes.
@BendeMarkАй бұрын
Enter those values into Cronometer or similar to get the actual breakdown. Rather base your opinions on facts. Also, as someone has already mentioned, beyond a certain threshold, a higher amount of protein has no significant impact on strength and weight loss. So, over consumption protein has not beneficial effects on health. Every plant food has protein, in varying amounts. So, eating a diversity of foods is helpful in hitting all the essential aminos.
