NEW CHALLANGE: Please try polyphasic sleep. It's basically splitting your sleep into multiple ''blocks'' per day. That way you can sleep less while still getting enough so to say. I'm sure you can find out way more through research, and it'd be so interesting to see! I wanna try it, but idk if it's really that effective, if it works, what the side effects are, etc... Since your videos are so detailed and you actually try alot of stuff, i thought it would be the perfect challange for you.

I got the Mini version from the Hoolest, and it has been working well for as-needed stim on the go! I deep dove into HRV stimulation as a means to help manage some rheumatological conditions I have. I first heard about the importance of the vagus nerve function and vagal tone on Dr. Hauser's channel. He is a prolotherapy expert who believes correcting cervical instability, and the spinal curve is paramount to optimal vagus nerve functioning. Stimulators can help, but if you are compromising the nerve physically in any way, it won't help the nerve heal and work optimally long term. Use good posture, look up, and strengthen your stabilizing muscles, or get prolotherapy, if possible, in addition to these stimulating treatments!

I started doing a polyvagal ear massage which basically does the same thing as the ear clip device in this video. The ear massage is less than 15 minutes and you don't need any equipment besides able fingers. My rem and deep sleep improves by 40-60% the morning after I do them and my HRV is trending much higher on those days too. More importantly, I'm feeling the "zen" you're speaking of and it is AWESOME!!! I've only done it 6 nights but the results are substancial.

@magpiejoneski1398 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t discount it quite so fast, for a few reasons - 1) he’s a reasonably healthy dude and a HRV in the 50s is considered reasonably good. Whereas people with inflammatory/fight/flight vagus issues etc tend to have a much lower HRV with a lot of room for improvement; 2) all the info I’ve seen for the diy route has recommended using one ear clip for the left tragus, and one electrode pad on the left shoulder. This allows the electrical impulse to cover a larger area than he was doing; 3) you can get nicer ear clips with padding etc that are more comfortable to wear. I’m going to get some of those, but in the meantime I’ve slightly modified mine by adding a slice of foam from an earplug to the non-electrode side, and added some electrode gel adhesive I peeled from an electrode pad to the electrode side. This has had the dual benefit of it feeling a bit more comfy, and also providing better contact and conductivity, so less sharpness.

I really like the idea of the ear clip with the electrode on shoulder. I tried an Alpha Stim, but it was too strong. And my reading recommended not using the right side. So I clipped the left ear and had to clip somewhere so used the right pinky. Better. After researching more I decided to try another device which has a lower frequency. Thanks for your input!!

Be careful with using a TENS unit at the sides of the neck. Although placing a TENS unit on the back of your neck is considered safe, placing them on sides of your neck could disrupt your heart's rhythm and cause serious harm! TENS units use electricity for simulation and placing them on the side of your neck can disrupt your peace maker nerves that control the heart. Please consider consulting a health professional and stay safe 😊 P.S. If you want to save money consider doing polyvagal ear massage or for a stronger effect try squeezing the sides of your thumb for 30 seconds - (Search this video on KZbin: "Reset Your Nervous System in 30 Seconds | Dr Alan Mandell, DC" )

After surgical inplants the standard methods is ear clip stimulation. I got mine for £45 from ebay. Unfortunately the clips keep slipping off so, like you, I think good quality clips are helpful. There are some ear clip devices all set up but these are expensive like the neurosym and the x model but these are £500 and £350 but I would imagine they have excellent ear lips and the best output. I have heard, anecdotally that neck stimulation is superior to the ear clips and this is where you have the verileaf and also pulsetto, again the prices are high(£250-350)though not as high as neurosym and x zen. I have been using the sensate which uses infrasonic vibration on the chest wall while listening to music, very enjoyable I really recommend, how much it stimulates the Vegas nerve I'm not sure.

@radicaltyro Жыл бұрын
@@SuperDonBest Zone 2 (as defined by experts like Inigo San Millan) is technically based on lactate, not HR. For some people (probably well trained individuals), the top of zone 2 may be in the range of 70-80% max HR, but for others, it could be say 65%. The relation to HR would also vary based on exercise modality (running vs cycling for example) and the environment (temperature has a big effect on HR). If you don't really know (via lactate testing), it's better to be conservative. I would recommend starting at 60-65% of max HR and evaluating.
