My love of fitness started in a place just like this, an old garage, where me and my dad started doing the bench press together and it created a lot of good memories. My son is about to be the same age I was back then and I want to create those same memories with him, and not only that, I also want to get jacked, so I need to up my fitness game. That’s why I decided to create my own home gym, in the place it all started, my garage!
So here you can kind of see the spot that I chose, it’s about 8 feet by 8 feet.
Since I have limited space, I needed to get a piece of equipment that would be extremely versatile and allow me to work out my entire body. I also wanted something that could be put together relatively easily. For those reasons I chose the Power Rack from IFAST Fitness.
So as you can see behind me we got the power cage assembled. My 8 year old son and I put this together and it was super easy. We opened the boxes, laid everything out, and assembled all in about 45 minutes. You could probably do it by yourself if you had to, but it’s nice to have an extra set of hands to help you. It’s also worth mentioning If you are watching this video because you’re interested in getting the power rack from IFAST Fitness, they have an assembly video on their website, I'll link it below, it’s very good and you’ll have no issues at all if you watch that video first.
So here is what the power rack looks like assembled in my garage. The 8 foot by 8 foot area I cleared out was the perfect size.
From my initial impressions in just testing it out, here are a few of the reasons why I really like this setup and chose it to begin with. First, the frame of the power rack allows you to move the accessories around super easy and can accommodate so many different exercises all in a matter of seconds, which was important for me because when I do lift with my kids or with my wife, it’s important to be able to quickly adjust it so it’s setup for their smaller bodies.
The bench is also highly versatile, It’s fully adjustable and super easy to move around so it makes switching it around for different exercises super easy. Not only that, it’s rock solid.
The weights from IFAST Fitness are also incredible, they are rubberized, super solid, easy to handle and are so much better than any of the all metal weights I’ve used in the past!
Now I am going to be working with a personal trainer very soon to come up with a complete body routine using this power rack, so I will have another video coming out soon with the details of that program, but I want to quickly go over some of the exercises you can do with this so you can see just our versatile this power rack can be!
I am super excited to say the least about my new garage gym and all of the possibilities that have now opened up to me. I can’t wait to see how much more I’ll be able to progress in my fitness aspirations.
So well that’s all I have for you in this one, I will see you in the next one!

Ive been looking and gathering info on a tower like that. Some cost too much and are not as versatile. But cost aside it looks pretty good. Im building mines slowly since I work alot and have no time for the gym not to mention the peace that comes with having youre own set up.

Over the last 2 decades I've worked at home for many of those years, people say how I can do that because they'd be too distracted. I've never had a problem with it. _Working out,_ on the other hand, has been a big fail for me at home. I just can't get the motivation to do it at home. I even uave some trouble at the gym when it is too deserted. For some weird reason I must go to a gym and have the optimal number of people around to get a good workout.
