Some girls and women DO like sports. Some of us grew up with brothers who played football sports from a young age; I seriously rooted for them so yeah, I was into their sport. As I got older--and TVs got bigger and more hi-def--I came to appreciate all the little um, 'nuances' of football. Like those pants. Mom and I both started paying waaaay more attention to the game at that point. Also (shocker) some girls and women actually PARTICIPATE IN sports. Go figure!

i grew up with a family of women who Loved sports. my aunt ALWAYS had a game on in the kitchen. ALWAYS... a beer nearby and a Royals or Chiefs game. my cousin hip tossed me behind a sofa, against a wall, and i got a piece of metal in my eye (to be fair she did make me wear a pirate patch for a few days so even). my daughter was a wrestling cheerleader but had more dude friends cause she just loved the sport.. the girl could take me down if I wasn't ready for a leg grab. i went to italy and listened to a mother and daughter talk for HOURS about the trades and upcoming baseball season... so... might be some faking it, but i know more than enough who know every damn player on their team, including the benchwarmers. as for magic... once upon a time i could turn the tv vhannel with "magic rings"... that was back when remote controls were sound, not lasers.

My daughter loves sports, plays fantasy football and baseball, and even watches some sports like hockey that I never watch. She has three brothers and she is more into sports than any of them other than the youngest one. My wife likes to go to games live but will only occasionally watch on TV unless it’s a big event or there is a player she really likes (she was a big Kelce fan even before the Swifties came on board).
