Good strategy to move around to see where you might like to stay longer term. Not only the area but also the condos. When I first started watching your vids, I thought you were traveling with a lot of stuff (2 big suitcases and the such). If you're expecting to settle in for a while, it makes sense. Selecting the items you really need and storing the rest is a great idea, especially at $20/month. Get it down to two sizeable backpacks. Wear one on the back and one on the front as you move. Markets and/or lower rate malls have inexpensive expandable backpacks with a laptop sleeve for around 200-250 Baht that will last at least a year as long as you don't way over pack them. There's good pizza in Thailand, just don't buy the small ones at the little kiosks...they are usually topped with mayonaise (salad dressing) instead of cheese...yuk! Go down to Bang Saray and to the north I like Bang Saen, but it gets busy on the weekends...Bangkok people.

Yea sizing down is essential. I have a storage locker now to put some things. It’s super small but will serve its purpose for now. I did have 2 large suitcases and 1 backpack but I’d like to just travel with a single large backpack!

@@benfishermin A single large backpack would be great but an additional smaller one on the front isn't that much of a hassle for just moving. It could also be used alone for day trips and short duration side trips too. We always need less than what we think. My wife and I did 3 weeks in Europe with just 10KG carry-on backpacks...mine started at 6.5KG. And we're not your traditional backpackers either.

Your only around 15mins from Bang Saray, guess you could move there for a month, then maybe try Rayong then Chanthaburi for a month each, now that’s slow travel lol

I’ll probably try to stick to max stay of 1 week per area whenever I can, and if I’m really loving it consider booking longer. I’ve only stayed in one place this long due to financial issues, I don’t like moving around / traveling much if I’m broke it’s too stressful, I’m excited for the future of the channel when I actually have a bit more money to visit more places!

Moving around in tourists "expat bubbles" isn't "living in thailand" and try to make a effort to learn thai and another country will emerge and u will get perks and thai friends. Visit Thepprasit Road Nightmarket and film is a good tip btw. Not many pattaya party expats know about it

@@benfishermin A tip is that you dedicate 1-2 hours everyday in condo (in bed after lunch ) to learn thai words and phrases and numbers. Even if u cant speak thai go asking "how much" " no its too expensive" and things like that and haggle alittle and knowing numbers i thai shows that u are familiar with prices and they will not cheat u.=) For me it took about 4 years to learn basic acceptable daily thai conversation but i still pronounce some words tone wrong=)

Na Jomtien is a great place to live, I’d sign a contract there if I didn’t want to move around and shoot video in new places. Hua Hin I’m very curious to try and will soon, have you already been there and you really enjoy it?

I've been to Hua Hin about six times. It's much more walkable, much less red light and seggs tourism, long, quiet beach, and night market is three blocks long. Not expensive and very Thai

The skinny condo in your video in Na jomtien called the Reflection. Down the road, there is a restaurant called Sense of the sea, good place to sit outside having a relaxing meal with live music. Not too expensive, I ate there a few nights ago. Recommend it.

Yea it tastes incredible. Pretty impossible to find Thai food not cooked in seed oil though. Occasionally a place will use coconut oil but they’re still using refined coconut oil which is garbage!
