Sorry to hear about the cold damage to fruit trees. Could back up with low growing blueberries, strawberries etc. That you can quickly cloche cover for cold snaps. Also short trees are easier to protect. Of course, canteloupe and other melons can fill in till next year. Once pulled over fourty canteloupe in a day from my garden. Good reason to sell the excess. But grandma decided to process some with fruit fresh and freeze them. Worked out good. Some years are great and others pure dud. Couldn't get my tomatoes to ripen. Imagine the farmers and canneries here in California that year. My cannery closed down early. Got me into preserving and canning on a big scale. Older family and friends helped encourage me. Your doing great in your endeavours. Keep it up. Bye from Californias onehundred and seven degree dry heat. P. U. Oh well, it's summer.

Hey good going girl. Might trim the cherry tree back a good ten foot. It will force the tree to put on bigger fruit though less for a year or so. But more marketable and safer to harvest. Going on seventy three years now and find your energy refreshing. Live here in central valley California and wish our climate and drought were gone. Love the garden .
