I've never been this early before😊. Makaiah is growing so fast, I love the way you talk to her. Also, with the goals, I've learned that it is easier to break down my yearly goals into quarterly achievable goals. And then give myself monthly or weekly tasks that will eventually help me complete what I swt for that quarter of the year.

I’m crying rn. Your entry journal to your daughter was so precious ❤ What a beautiful way for your daughter to connect with you and have such a meaningful understanding of who you are. If my mom wrote me letters like that I would be crying 😭

As someone who has always wanted to journal, but was never any good at keeping up with it, here are my tips for maintaing a consistent journalling practice now that I've figured it out for myself: 1. Use one journal for whatever you want to write about. It could be about your day, it could be unpacking thoughts, it could be lists of stuff you like, it could be poems, it could be dreams, it could be quotes or journal prompts to answer later. Literally anything. Just put pen to paper and write something 2. No pressure. Dont pressure yourself to write a certain amount or a certain number of times per week, or about any particular topic or type of writing. Just let it be a friend you can come back to whenever you have something to talk about 3. Let yourself write when you want to write. Dont force yourself to write, just come back to it when its something you actually want to do. If its not, then do something else until it is 4. If you're writing in the journal, that's journalling. There's no right or wrong way to do it, you're not supposed to hit milestones or achieve any particular goals with it, you dont have to stick to any kind of structure or system. Journalling just means writing about stuff that matters to you. I've never had a consistent journalling practice, or at least i didnt think so, until this year. I've nearly filled a whole journal since like the 23rd of December. In my journal I've written about my goals and how i can take steps towards them, plans for decorating my house and setting up my garden, things im grateful for, reflections on shows I've watched lately, book reports, budgets, bucket lists, tarot reading unpacking, and sooo much more. You can write about ANYTHING, just write, and write when you feel like it

Recently, I watched a sermon, and the speaker talked about how her family has journals for her children. She said she’d just write in it any time there was a moment she wanted to remember or share when they were older. None of the pressure to write in it a certain number of times. Your video reminded me of that and it’s so sweet! Also, love the idea of add in Polaroids as you go!
@naida_sch18110 ай бұрын
I love the idea of your goals for a week instead of the whole year :) Little tip: if you do something for 3 weeks it starts becoming a habit. so if you set yourself a goal for a month (for example drink 2 bottles of water a day), maybe you already made it a habit and you can start focussing on different things the next month 😊

Somewhere between year 2020-2023 i was on and off following you guys cause life happens, by the end of 2023 i started following you guys again (it maybe cause of Makaiah :) ) Even after all these years you are still the same as you have been back then. I feel at peace and empowered to live my life in a better way, to cherish and be mindful of my present and future life, just by looking the world through your eyes, i am glad i found you guys. I hope you grow as a person but never lose yourself in the process. Ilysm!

This is my favorite thing I started doing for them and I hope one day when they’re older they read them and just remember how much I love them.

Idea for helping to create consistency with goals is to habit stack! Just meaning identify a habit you already have and make your new habit as an add on to that. For example if you make coffee everyday, you could place the journal by your coffeemaker and write in there as your coffee is brewing every day. Stacking a new habit on top of another already established habit is so helpful, and then making a visual reminder where that established habit is will help you remember to do it. 😊 so sweet your journal for her. 🤍 love supporting you and your content!

I feel like I'm with a good friend : ) For clean makeup a youtuber I super love (holistic habits) uses a lot of FitGlow Beauty You are so right about goals! I would write one large list of goals that are measurable, attainable & time bound. Each week or month, focus on 3 every day. Habit Tracker app has been great in keeping me accountable & motivated Example: this week everyday drink 2 water bottles, 15 min strength training youtube video, journal entry

One thing that helped me with journaling more consistently is doing it whenever I feel like. Every time I tried to set a schedule to journaling I ended up not doing it cuz it felt too much like a chore and not like something that helps me clear my mind. 😊 So I suggest set the idea to journal once a week but not having a designated day. Over time you will feel more like you want to journal more without forcing yourself.
