As a European girl, I think Advent calendars are so much more exciting than stockings. Think about it: every day you get a little present, counting down to this huge day, the 24th, where the family comes together and celebrates the birth of Jesus. So much excitement is built during this time ❤️

My small group did a favorite things gift exchange for Christmas and valentines last year and doing it again this year! We do it by bringing three of your fav food or drink and you “present” your item about why it’s the best. Then we draw numbers and pick one of the items + do it three times! Such a fun idea!

Jess I love how intentional you are with everything you do. I planned a Christmas cookie bake with my friends & all said they’d attend. It comes to the week of when I send a reminder, about 75% of them “forgot” or made other plans and chose to the to them instead. We did the wax for our baby shower invites.. I recommend just using one wax bead, melt it, pouring it over and then you place the seal without pushing it down for a few seconds and it works better that way.

Hi Jess! Love all of the sweet details! Just a little tip on the wax seal for next time I like to make sure the stamp is really cold so I’ll lay it on something cold and try letting the wax harden a bit before your pour so it doesn’t spread out too much. Hope this helps 😊

hii jess! I know your little girl is still little, but I wanted to tell you about how my mom would create the advent calendar! she would have a special little present every day for me and my two sisters, and she would hide it around the house and then create a little poem\ riddle related either to where it was or to the special day in the advent! sometimes was a little toy or some special chocolate, or a new hand made Christmas ball for the tree! I remember it, especially from when I was around 5-6 years old, and it was the most magical thing! thought it might bring some inspiration for the future xx
