@@JamesZilka just because you take steroids, doesn’t mean you’re going to get the same results. Sam’s physique is literally 1 in a million. I’m not advocating for steroids, I’m just saying his physique is extremely abnormal. And the 1 in a million people who take steroids expecting results like Sam’s, are going to be extremely disappointed.

Weirdly it is, it's even more important because the anabolics will make you think your recovered as the muscles will heal very quickly. The issue is your tendons. . . . .don't, so you will think your fine then your muscle will rip itself off the bone.

@@AdnanShaikh-zh5zd Also, you need to consider that the inherent risk with weight lifting is isolation exercises are done more than compound exercises. One of the largest injuries are shoulder injuries, because people far too often just do front delt workouts and dont strengthen their rotator cuffs and other supporting muscles. So you can do really big lifts for one specific muscle, but variation, error in form, etc. put a tremendous strain on weaker muscles that werne't strengthened alongside the primary muscles in the movement.

To be frank, I think this is the easiest way to fool yourself with “holy math”. Jeff’s idea is good in terms of content creation, but it is really a futile exercise, most likely inaccurate in terms of results and input data. Let’s not even take into account the short time span he based the research on. Finally, whatever the conclusion is, other than a nice pie chart, it is totally irrelevant if you don’t gear up.

If one reads Joe Weider's bodybuilding book from 1988, there is section of what he called the advanced training principles. What Sam was doing with continuing to keep pushing out partial reps is what are refered to as Burns. Basically, once you get to the point where you can no longer do more full range reps, you can knock out partials until you can do no more.

I have such respect for Sam Sulek too because he's a weight lifter but he's not a hothead or an adrenaline junkie. He's a truly humble man that teaches you how he works out without being a "all up in your face calling you trash" youtuber
@ALJR223
@ALJR223 9 ай бұрын
Yeah you're actually delusional if you don't think he's adrenaline junkie. He's addicted to the pump and the high of the anabolics he's on. And like so many other morons like him that for some reason you don't remember, he's going to die at 45 or 50 from his kidney failing or his heart giving out

Did something similar in my early to mid 20's and absolutely destroyed my elbows. The cartilage so messed up. This dude is on his way to extreme pain later in life. He will be questioning everything he did when he was young unless he dies before then from the steriod use.

When you're on so much gear, you don't need to worry about form or ROM. The ridiculously high training to failure volume will compensate for it.

Sam is literally training himself to be a short-stranded hulk of a human being in heart failure. He's a humble treasure, he's an inspiringly hard worker, and he's building a body with only one purpose; being massive at any cost. And it'll cost him a lot.

Right now it's a passion for him but there's a big difference between Sam and Rich and that's how potent the PEDs that are available right now and that's gonna be either kill him earlier or later depends on if the drug companies actually give a crap for keeping their customers safe or give a crap to delivering GAINZ to their customers. I don't believe the Rich never tried to stop himself, i'm confident to stating that Rich stayed away from the gnarly stuff at a later date in his life so Sam being younger and braver "bravery and stupidity are brothers btw" I don't see Sam shying away from the gnarly stuff since for him he's confident his youth will protect him for awhile but that wont be the case all the time and he's gonna slip somewhere and thats simple probability guessing so its inevitable unless he stops and that's a big IF.

There's a great deal of supporting evidence indicating that partials are just as effective as full ROM. Approaching failure then completing more partials is a great way to get into hypertrophy.
@jazzy_burrito
@jazzy_burrito 9 ай бұрын
This is true, but only if you are actually stretching the muscle under load. That's why Full ROM is a good guideline, but then attempting STRECHED partials afterwards is certainly not a bad idea when full ROM failure is reached. The problem here is that Sam doesn't stretch out the muscle being trained entirely. He kinda of just throws the weight around within the middle ROM of the movement, never fully contracting(not a horrible thing), or extending(definitely leaving gains on the table).
@seanlyle2392
@seanlyle2392 9 ай бұрын
@@jazzy_burrito generally agree with that. I would quibble applying it broadly since growth is highly dependent on individual genetic responses. I view these things really as guidelines for beginners and then as you lift more experimenting with your own individual biological responses is great. Works for him but maybe not others. 🤷‍♂️
