I will now rant about Diablo Immortal for 11 minutes.

9 months of playing Diablo Immortal report: At paragon level 950 as a Barbarian I am super strong and have a badass, powerful custom build. I have spent $0.00 on this game. I can kill an Elder Rift boss in 18-20 seconds. Comparing myself to other players who after questioning and interviews have spent between $500 to $1,000 in the game on microtransaction gems they take between 10-8 seconds to kill the same boss. Where microtransaction gems really matter are in infernal raids (paragon 800-1,300) in which a group of 8 whale players can kill a boss with 100,000,000 health in a matter of seconds. However, saying "really matter" is up for debate because when the boss dies in this scenario there's 8 minutes & 30 seconds out of 9 minutes remaining on the raid boss timer. A group of none microtransaction free to play players would probably spend 4 to 6 minutes to defeat the boss as long as it went smoothly and everyone knew the fight. The conclusion is that Diablo Immortal's microtransaction gems aren't necessary to fully play and enjoy the endgame and earlier sections of the game where they start pushing the microtransactions on you. All they do is save you time and make the levels faster and the enemies die quicker. I play this game on my tablet when I'm taking a ****** or watching a meh movie with my family. If you're playing on PC there's so many better ftp and ptp games in this genre. I play Path of Exile and will switch to Path of Exile 2 later this year. Path of Exile mobile is also still in development so that'll bee a competitor to D8ablo Immortal when it comes out.

Resonated gems don't need to be ranked up, so you only rank to 10 on your main gems. You get 6 jewels a day that you can sell for ~300 net (I always sell for 400 even the bad ones). A 3 star will take about 4-5 weeks depending on prices in your server. A 5 star would take about 24-30 weeks just on selling jewels. It definitely isn't the fast blast that D2R is: 2 weeks in and you can buy duped Ber Runes for 1500fg or whatever that equates to in real money. A fully stacked D2R is very reasonable with tons of fg from past seasons or spending money in much less time. D3 blows, Immortal is significantly better. D3 it takes maybe a week to start grinding whatever the red legendary gear is called. More of a slow burn unless you want to spend like this video says. You don't need to spend money to enjoy this, much like you don't have to trade/do jsp to enjoy d2r.

It's actually a really good game especially considering it's on mobile. What did you expect? Did you think you were gonna get a free to play game with no micro transactions? This is the state of mobile gaming now. If you don't like it don't play mobile games.

You're defending a product with a seven figure upper spending range. Per character. There is no logic you can apply here that makes that number acceptable and/or reasonable. "Mobile" is not a valid defense.

It's not the developers fault for trying to make as much money as possible. Thats the point of a business. It's the dumb players who are spending money ruining it for everyone.

The video sums up the situation pretty well actually. I'm a loyal D3 player who was very excited about Immortal. I've paid for the extra battle pass and feel like I'm getting nothing back from the game. I can't enjoy a battleground or anything else fun in the game because I can't jack my CR without just breaking down and buying orbs. I'm finally tapping out of this which makes me very disappointed. If this monetization strategy seeps into d4 I will just move on from Blizzard. I can't even update the name of my character without purchasing orbs ffs.

@@jimmydemars8948 This is true. The main campaign, which takes about a week or two to complete, can be done without spending money. If that first 1-2 weeks is all you care about, and you have no interest in end-game, pvp, higher tier stages, or maximizing your character, then the core gameplay is pretty fun. Of course, there are other games that offer value beyond the first two weeks, if you would prefer that approach.

@@GatormanEsquire I haven't seen a game I can play on tablet that offers the same type of game play with the quality of graphics immortal has. The way I look at it I can at least run each character and then see what I can get done without spending real money because the game is fun to play.
