I wore NO MAKEUP for ONE MONTH STRAIGHT...and this is what happened (acne journey)

That's right! I wore NO makeup for one month straight...and this is what happened. If you guys have been following me for a while now, you would know that I used to suffer from acne. I had acne on my forehead, chin, cheeks...basically all over my face and even on my chest and back. I had to deal with acne scars and my breakouts by trying endless skin care routines, face washes, creams, spot treatments, masks, makeup routines, foundations, concealers, etc... We all spend so much time on our skin, on our makeup, on our appearances in general. I wanted to challenge myself for one MONTH, and see if I could eliminate the time and effort it takes me to make my face "perfect." I wanted to see what this would do to my confidence and if it would change me at all. Well, it did! I hope that if you try this it works for you because I know how hard it is to deal with acne it can make you feel so little and insecure at times, but, it is important to realize that having perfect skin won't fulfill your life, so having imperfect skin, shouldn't destroy it. If you are struggling with acne keep pushing and try to remember that you are beautiful no matter what and your looks are not everything.

Trust me: If you're ugly without makeup, you aint gonna look much better with it, unless you paint yourself an entirely new face. If you genuinely look better with makeup, then you could almost certainly look just as good without it by simply taking care of your skin, dressing better, wearing your hair better, and maybe losing weight if you need to.

I used to suffer from very bad acne as you can see in my older videos. This is yet another part of my journey, and thank God my journey has pretty much come to an end thanks to the products and routine I have found that finally worked to eliminate my acne. I just want to thank you for this. I’m a senior in high school and I can relate to being insecure enough that I try to cover every pimple that I have. I’ve spent so much time worrying about my face and in all honesty it just makes me feel worse especially when I talk to someone because like you said all you do is worry if they can see it through your makeup or if it’s creasing or greasy. I’m sure it definitely helps your skin be clear when you refrain from wearing makeup. You’re not applying a ton of chemicals every day, and you’re not adding bacteria from makeup sponges and brushes! I already know before watching this video that this will do wonders for your self-esteem. About a year ago I started using less makeup. Before that I was wearing makeup every day and a lot of makeup as well. I can go for a long time without makeup now, and the best thing about it all is that I feel much more confident. I completely agree with where your coming from. Last year, I was so insecure about not wearing makeup because I myself have oily skin and struggle with acne. I always have. I wouldn’t leave the house without It basically. When I was in beauty school some of the barbers dared me to do No Makeup November while they did No shave November. I did the whole month! & became way more comfortable with my natural skin around others. I loved it. This was super cool to see in video form I wish I would of done that at the time!

I've had such bad acne for years since I stopped taking my birth control. My skin is all scarred and dull looking. Nothing I do helps. I feel like I have to cover it with makeup to feel even slightly attractive. This really helped. It's so hard to show your skin when you hate it. It's so difficult to show online what it looks like too because it feels like you're exposing yourself as ugly, yet you're the only one who feels that way about it. Very relatable. I've used makeup as a crutch my whole life because of acne and now can't leave the house without it on. Unfortunately not anywhere near as pretty as you fresh-faced, but my sister is able to rock the no-makeup look with ease and I think being able to overcome what can leave you house-bound on the bad days would feel quite amazing! I relate to this so much... so insecure when my skin is breaking out or my under eye bags are extra dark where i even feel the need to cover it to go to the grocery store! Its like we're taught to think that having acne makes us less beautiful when it shouldn't be the case. I think i should try taking a break as well. You're also absolutely gorgeous without makeup!

Loved this video!! It's so interesting seeing things from your POV. I've never struggled with acne (I'm just ugly lol) so I never really understood all this. Like, it's a single pimple, what's the big deal?? But seeing you go through the motions and explain how that 'single pimple' stopped you from filming altogether... I felt that. I can't relate specifically, but I still felt that. It's nice to see a different POV, especially since you're doing so much work to help heal your skin and your bad habits (picking at your skin, for example). ALso, as a side note: somehow I didn't know your hair was so long?? Maybe it's because you always have it thrown over your shoulders, but that last clip had me reeling bc I was so surprised by the length, haha

Hey gorgeous...ya girl can definitely relate. thanks for keeping it real... I'm almost 6 months makeup free! after struggling with self-consciousness and acne for so long, it feels great to just let the skin breath and glow from within. Best wishes on your journey
