As the season wraps for I Am Woman, the ladies really dive deep into parenting and marital life, especially during COVID times. Agreeing that the past year has brought a lot of change in many areas, the women are split on if they are ready for old life to resume or they enjoy the new normal at home. Aja leads a fun and light discussion with the women about having sex with their husbands, keeping it fresh and frequent. The ladies find it funny that Aja is well versed and ready to chat about sexual related topics while Michi and Ashley seem more reserved.
Kijafa and Terricka are curious about the right time to tell their children about sex and opening the lines of communication about such encounters. Michi and Aja think the kids should be a little older while Ashley says that kids learn things from other kids so it's better for it to be explained at an early age by parents. Michi opens up about a personal experience she had as a child that could have negatively impacted her life but instead she spiraled it into strength and growth while Kijafa says she has instilled in her children to fight for their lives if they are ever in an uncomfortable situation.
Finding ways to get back to regular activities and somewhat of normalcy, Michi asks if the women plan on getting the vaccine and they are all split on the decision of whether to get it or not. Terricka and Ashley say having their children home all day everyday is a lot to handle and they can't wait for school and activities to resume. Aja says it's really hard to raise children in this era and the days of kids making mistakes without them being publically exploited are far and few in between.
Chef Lowe surprises the ladies with homemade waffles topped with cereal and milk as they ask him what age he finds it appropriate to talk to his son about sex. He also talks about the financial gains people are having with Fans Only Pages and asks if any of the ladies would ever explore that option. Aja gives the women a gift of hope and appreciation while highlighting black-owned businesses in the community.

I definitely introduced my son to alcohol early on. Wine with dinner, beer with BBQ...so that he would know how he would feel physically and mentally. I also educated him on sex, drugs and ROCK & ROLL...LOL I never wanted anyone else to try to introduce him to stimulating events in his life. The MOST important thing I ever did for my son was to introduce him to CHRIST! I kept a open door, open ear and open heart policy even today and he is 36. Stay safe, healthy and uplifted ladies. I've been teaching for 10 years. The greatest influence (outside of the home ) on your kids is their friendship circle & their self esteem. A kid with high self esteem can survive the constant negative peer pressure longer. Vulnerable (at risk) children become prey for their environment (other children included).

I wish we were able to see the source for these covid-19 similar to flu articles. No disrespect, but it really isn’t like the flu, look up covid 19 long haulers these individuals are living VERY different lives post covid (GI issues, blood clots, oxygen tanks, etc). Truly no disrespect but if you know someone that didn’t struggle too hard with covid it doesn’t mean that’ll be the case for every one.

It would’ve been great regarding this topic to possibly link the studies that were read to ensure they were peer reviewed and credible sources because there’s so much false information out there. It also would’ve been great to have a black female doctor, scientist, etc to actually provide non-biased science based information. Everything can be so misleading especially within the African American community.

That sounds like a great idea but it's highly unlikely that we'll ever get that. Our community is too enthralled with "research" and anecdotes from social media and KZbin to be receptive to actual science. But oh well... such is life

No one has to be mislead if people would Read the CDC page on COVID19 themselves. It tells you exactly what it is. It does not tell you how long it last and it doesn't call it vaccines. Please read the CDC page. Aja is absolutely right. I know people who still have antibodies nine months after being exposed. I know Doctors who have not and will not take it based on what the CDC is saying. Also Dr. Suneel Dhand and The Truth/The Stand give really good insight for those who need sources.

Michi keeps saying she has done research and she says COVID is similar to flu, I beg to differ. I know a lot of people that have had COVID and they say flu s nothing in comparison and a lot of COVID survivors say life is not the same after COVID, they get tired now and breathing has become difficult. So with respect I think it's this misleading information that has caused people to be relaxed and end up dying or infecting people.

1000% I’ve had several family members and several friends that had covid and get winded and tired after walking through the grocery store. My dad got it the worst and was hospital 10 days. After he recovered he was wiped out and zero energy by 3 pm. It’s a whole other animal. Kinda a slap in the face when people say it’s nothing

My personal experience with Covid was the hardest scarest medical battle I've ever experienced. Plus all what you said. I was in the hospital but not on a ventilator. A full 2 week battle for every minute. Then followed by 1 week to just rest from fighting it. I'm addicted to tv & social media. I missed the inauguration. If I didn't have to move I didn't. I moved to pee. to take meds. to cough. to sit up sleeping. Drank water and gator-raid. that's it for 2 weeks. the 3rd week a little tv but 3 naps a day b/c for 2 weeks by body was in fight mode

When it comes to the vaccine do what is best for you and your family. There’s so much information out there to justify whatever your personal stance is about COVID and the vaccine. I love this show and I enjoy hearing their thoughts but keep in mind they can afford medical treatment that many people can’t access. Do your own research and make the best decision for yourself because you are the only person who will have to deal the consequences good or bad.
