It's funny you talk about us guys being settled - my bag couldn't be any more up in the air! I'm going for a full fitting at Pureform here in Melbourne, Aus (provided my city doesn't go into full lockdown that is) on this coming Tuesday. Going to be my first ever fitting, and I couldn't be more excited! There's definitely a few clubs I want to try, like the Srixon Z785 and maybe some MP20s but to be honest I have no idea what my bag is going to look like a couple of weeks from now! Just to add to that, I gotta thank you guys for putting all of the info out there that you do - I'd always heard that fitting is the way to go, but didn't realise just how much you could be leaving on the table without being properly fitted. The amount that I've learned about golf gear from you guys is absolutely invaluable, and the way you present the information in a way that is in-depth and technical, but also easy to understand doesn't get enough praise. Keep doing what you do!

Without a doubt the most informative golf channel on KZbin. I've learned more by watching you guys in 2 months than I have in 3 years as a club fitter. Its helped me improve the quality of fits I can offer people. Definitely recommend all golfers and club fitters to watch you guys.

As you guys are steamrolling ahead to 100k I just wanted to say thank you! As someone who was kinda falling out of love with the game last year you guys definitely helped revitalize my interest. From getting me to look at my bag to see what clubs could improve (although I can't necessarily afford all the changes I want to make right now lol), to the little details such as tee height and ball position, and definitely for exposing me to great instructors like Larry and Gareth. You guys are the best golf channel on KZbin and after 100k gets here 1 mil won't be far off. Congrats on the soon to be 100k and I hope to be able to come to the shop for a fit at some point!

I love these WITB vids! I feel like I get to live vicariously through your guys' upgrades/changes as I get excited for you to play the new gear! I seldom can change parts of my own bag at one time... However, I was fortunate enough to finally upgrade my 11 year old irons and add 2 hybrids this year (moving from Cobra FP 08, 4-PW, to new Mizuno JPX 919 HM, 6-PW (1* weak) with used Ping G410 22* and SIM 25* hybrids). Haven't been able to play them yet (dry swings only), but I'm giddy at the prospect of getting to play them soon! Keep up the great work, boys!

Super cool rewatching some vids again. I'm re organizing my bag with a weaker loft combo set b/c I ran into a similar problem with never using my 4 or 5. Went with 5-PW, leaving room for a 20-22 hybrid, already have a 15' 3 wood and 18' UDI. Hoping I'll start to see the same gapping as Ian with his new set up.

Ian, Great looking club mix for 2020! I’ve been going through the same type of bag review. It is amazing how much the Arccos sensors have impacted my game in the last year and influenced my club selection. I too added the Stability Tour shaft to my putter with immediate good results. +3.6 Arccos Putting handicap. Changed my driver shaft and shortened the shaft length in order to find more accuracy and improve my driving statistics. Dropped my Titleist 818 H1 21 deg hybrid and TMB 4 iron, replaced with a Tour Edge XCG7 21 deg 7 wood and a 25 deg Titleist 818 H1 hybrid. Improved my launch, height, carry and overall distance. Changed to a heavier and stiffer shaft on my Tour Edge EX10 16.5 fairway wood and it is like night and day! More height, more carry, better distance too. Next change is to drop the 5 iron. Strengthen the 6 & 7 both by 1 degree and add another wedge. Will go from Vokey SM7 54 & 60 10S to Corey Paul 52, 56 & 60. Really tightening up my yardage gaps. For the first time in a long time I feel like there are 14 clubs in my bag that I have confidence in and not a single club is just taking up space. My handicap is also the lowest it has ever been. Keep up the good work guys. Your channel has really encouraged me to tinker with my bag and get things right. Yes, I was fitted for all the clubs in the bag but the Arccos data still pointed out areas for improvement.
@wallstreetoneil4 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear that someone else has dropped an iron and spread out the lofts to add another useful gaming club - our bags, by concept, are now almost identical. Fadey open faced 8 degree driver and 13.5-14.5 neutral 3wood that I can draw if required. A low flighted 18 degree 90gram hybrid playing open at 17 degrees that I can carry 235 for tight Par 4s but can roll to 250. A high flighted 21-22 hybrid for a 3/4 iron replacement. Strong lofted 24 degree 5 iron, then 6,7,8,9,PW at (28,32,37,42,47) with 52,57,62 Mizuno wedges with similar grinds & bounces.

I am 100% jealous of Ian's bag, the time that he takes and the thought that goes into every single club is remarkable! That is the reason I won't go anywhere else to get fit for clubs! I really feel for you guys having a golf 'season', especially this year with it being shortened. We are so blessed here down under to be able to play all year-round. BTW, thanks for the detailed 'why'. That made the WITB far more educational. Cheers.

I have a 19 at A1 with a 75S that I can draw if I need to but I have the 23 at C1 (as open and flat as I can) with a 90g T1100 6.5 which is FAR too stiff for my swing speed (around 95 top end) and LOVE it. Can swing as hard as I want and hit it dead straight with a tiny fall right if anything. Hit it anywhere from a 180-205. Is deadly for Par 5s/long 4’s.
