Baba Amte was a true Bharat Ratna. He and his wife devoted their lives to leprosy patients. His both sons, Dr. Vikas and Dr. Prakash and their wives carried forward Baba Amte's work. This AV in 3 parts gives an insight into the work Dr. Prakash and his wife, Dr. Mandakini have done since 1974 by setting up a hospital for tribals, a school for their children and an orphanage for wild animals. Currently, Dr. Prakash and Dr. Mandakini's two sons and daughters-in-law have assumed responsibility for running these projects and scaling up capacity. Outstanding social work by three generations of an outstanding family.

i have visited aanandwan and hemalkasa! how can one say that he is close but not hero??? people call him the real hero becoz of his great contribution to d society! the way he handles animals is not at all cruel or incorrect! he consider his animals a part of his family! he is working for aadivaasi tribes! his journey has been a terrific and difficult one! ...just by watching some videos one shd not comment anything lyk that! please go read his books(negal)...visit hemalkasa...go watch the film... i think then u will realize why we call him a hero! a real hero! it takes a lot of courage, sensitivity and a strng desire to work this hard for d less fortunes! first of all the fact is he has created an orphanage for animals! not just a sanctuary! 👐 we salute you aamte family👍👐👏
