Admittedly, the Ice Arrows aren’t easy to find on your first play through, especially back in the 90s before the internet became what it is now. I didn’t find them until my second playthrough when I was a kid

To beat the gerudo training grounds you need the silver gauntlets from the spirit temple and most people do the shadow temple first so normally you dont have the ice arrows at that point in the game.

@@zoralink37 it's certainly more of a "second and subsequent" playthrough item for those exploring the world... unless you play the "Gold Quest" Romhack which did a great job of changing up the game so you need to do things in a different order.

On Majora's Mask I used bombs on an Iron Knuckle then fire arrows, that was so easy... IDK if I will do the same thing again as it's so boring. The Indiana Jones' scene had never been so true with my method ! XD

@@BigBoy257That’s even how the players guide presents the order. When you’re an adult, the guide says to beat Grass, Fire, Water, SHADOW, then Spirit. I genuinely had no idea you could do Spirit before Shadow.

@@AndrewsWideWorldofGaming there’s a lot you can do out of order. I usually did forest, water, fire, spirit, then shadow. You can beat other dungeons before forest and dodongo’s if you take their items and then leave, and there’s some unique dialogue from Zelda if you beat jabu before dodongo’s

TBH, I typically wouldnt get the ice arrows until after I beat the Shadow Temple and went to Gerudo Valley to complete that training before the Spirit Temple.

After Forest Temple having a bow, yeah some select Temples can be reached than doing by sequence. Ice Arrows before Shadow Temple is an option

Naturally, you are supposed to get the Lens of Truth to cross over on Haunted Wasteland in order to reach Spirit Temple. This is actually cryptic because most people beat Shadow before Spirit but the intended order is Spirit before Shadow.

I’m not sure if it is the INTENDED order… because the cut scene in Kakariko after beating the Water Temple points you very strongly in the direction of the Shadow Temple. And you need the Hover Boots from the Shadow Temple to get to the Spirit Temple. But this is why I liked the Gold Quest romhack so much - it has you visiting new temples before you finish previous ones and then coming back to them with different items. It mixes things up really well and encourages you to try obscure tech like this.
