I feel like flinch and the ability spam plus its own flinch is what makes this game not fun. Like I get that many fully automatic weapons are lasers, but flinch is what makes them 10x worse to play against.

My group of friends literally quit this game because of the abilities. It’s way too much, the gunplay has gotten neglected and the abilities are flourishing. We lost interest because of it. So sad. Hurts the soul man I used to love this game and my buddies did to. Having fun with space marine 2 and the finals tho, some Valorant is nice but even that game has too much abilities going on, wish cs2 was on console, we used to be sweats in trials every weekend man 😢

@Kruzer I think just figured out what u really don't like about the d2 pvp experience and thats that primaries are way to unforgiving to the body. So if u think about it that forces people to run abilities to clean up kills or else they just get away (bc body shot dam is so low that as they run its much easier for them to escape) or people just run really fast ttk primaries like high impulses where its hard to respond to in time. Pretty much what I'm getting is that they tried to make the game competitive on paper but instead just made it super sweaty and based on positioning or running away till somebody gives u the advantage so in other words extremely passive and boring to play in the high end of the skill gap. Which is not destiny pvp any of us fell in love with. They should make primaries forgiven like they were in d1 except for some outliers like high impact pulses and 120 scout rifles cause they're already forgiven enough.

I still to this day dont know why the devs have it in their heads that special ammo is bad, I on god would enjoy 6's even if we could get up to 12 shots of special ammo like we did back super early d1. Dying to special ammo imo is waaaay better than dying to an ability.

i havent played this game in over 3 months and do i want to personally no ive been playing destiny since i was a child i played destiny 1 since beta got to level 11 played the shit out of the moon missions hell i played destiny 1 for over 4k hours playing trials getting the swords doing raids exotic quests etc when destiny 2 dropped i played the beta but it felt lack luster almost rushed with 0 improvement i played it dont get me wrong did leviathan did trials of the nine had a 3.0kd but the double primary meta made me drift away from the game for the longest time it wasnt until forsaken when i got back into the game and grinded loved forsaken shadowkeep hated beyond light for stasis loved witch queen hated lightfall and liked final shape for a month or two but the game doesnt feel enjoyable it feels like a chore to play the game everyday i see youtubers who once loved this game drift away and i know like you can say well you didnt play enough i did i have 4700hrs on steam and possibly 800 on battlenet i played alot of d2 and i know when the game is missing something, a good anti cheat, good super and weapon balancing, good story and replayable missions, more difficult exotic quests that actually took time to grind, a good seasonal game mode like archons forge black armory prison of elders something destiny 1 had replay ablilty with prison of elders strikes raids exotic quests their was always something to do another thing in d1 in non competive game modes their wasnt SBMM how their is on d2 with control like i do understand what bungie is doing to make the game more enjoyable but it doesnt MAKE the GAME enjoyable i wish d1 could be remastered still so i can relive childhood memories what happend to d1 with its dying potiental is whats happening to d2 we are just used to it atp

Honestly I think every aspect of the Original Destiny was much better. The only thing D2 did right was the console 60 & 120 fps upgrade & obviously the pc. Other than the OG Destiny was far better

I'm not a fan of the ability spam and the pulse meta. The game plays so slow now thanks to that and all the nerfs to movement (AE is one of the biggest culprits for how slow D2 plays now imo). It is sad that the game played faster during peak stasis meta in BL. Everyone was frozen for seconds and somehow the matches still played faster and were more fun than this re-enactment of 17th century firing lines while corner licking with pulses. Who is going to contest pulses and scouts and the slow turtle in the back play styles with snipers being nerfed into oblivion? And all because according to Bungie Timmy NoThumbs can't understand why he died when repeatedly peeking a sniper with a sidearm. Thus Bungie decided the sidearm must win by flinching the sniper to the moon halfway across the map. 🙄

Idk man, Special and Heavy weapons, and Abilities just make Destiny's PvP a unenjoyable mess. This constant need to crutch on these things is ridiculous. I completely removed Special and Heavy weapons from my loadout (in PvP specifically) and went back to the D2Y1 days of Double Primary, and my god is it more enjoyable. For my own enjoyment it's 1000x more enjoyable to use a Hand Cannon and a SMG; or a Hand Cannon and a Sidearm; or hell even a Hand Cannon and a Pulse Rifle. Idc if it's not "optimal". Personally I have fun. And what makes it even better is that I can't drop Special ammo when killed =). Overall though, Destiny's PvP can only be described as a mess. I decided to just stick to PvE, and if I want that PvP itch scratched, I'll play better, more fun games.

U have to buy dungeon...raid and dungeon should be included buying dlc..again only a small handfull gettin to play the dungeon.... Got the whole world that luvs this game and the company only allows a few to enjoy a certain part of the game.. And company already struggeling gettin a higher play base...

I don't know how u enjoy 6s with brain dead teammates and people sitting back with pulses and scouts or the wall hungers and all people running at me with special after i already have non its terrible. Trials gives me a purpose to play pvp like going fl with above avarage loot and drops. Not to mention the overall experience is better bc less special ammo fights when i dont have it making it more fair. Not to mention theyre adding a version of trials where everyone in one team has to be in a different class which its going to introduce more variety which for me makes alot less boring and ones again more balanced. For example, no 3 prismatic hunters or 3 stasis titan constantly spamming ice being obnoxious with damage resistance all game. For all these reasons trials is by far the best pvp gamemode. The only thing that could make it better is if they're was some sort of matchmaking where for example lets say 1 two stack is better than the other then they should get the worse solo out of the two. Pretty much they're some matches where the teams are completely better than the other and then u as the solo have no chance at winning at all.

Problem is that "isnt that bad" isnt something my time and life is worth. Im so fucking glad I deleted EVERY single piece of gear and weapon etc in both games. I did buy a new Destiny 1 copy and wow its been fun. D1 vanilla is shit, but ttk is nice because finally destiny doesnt feel like a fucking chore. Glad youre enjoying yourself, but I want nothing but for bungo to burn.

I’m gonna assume this is a bait - but in the event that it isn’t; that’s an objectively untrue statement. We all loved D1. But there’s no aspect of D1 that’s better than D2 outside of maybe its art direction. The skyboxes, and general vibes. But core mechanics, gameplay, weapon design, etc all belong to D2.

The gameplay is slower in pve but arguably faster in pvp because ability spam + one shot abilities are everywhere in pvp in d1, raids are kinda boring only had fun with Wrath but in all honesty I'd consider it on par with Ron, exotics are really basic there are a few unique exotics but most are just legendary perks but enhanced, while there were more subclass options in d1 outside of the base abilities it felt like most options didn't need to exist, and while D2's story isn't great I felt like it was slightly better than D1.
