It’s true! I am a bit of a landscape enthusiast and use my knowledge of plant/tree species to disarm the natural defensive instinct when a customer answers the door. Even if I don’t win the Buisness that same day, I typically get my card placed on they’re refrigerator for when the day comes. Also have a colleague I recruited and trained from RV sales that can identify any motor home on the planet. Literally can strike a conversation with anyone who has what we call “disposable income” out front of they’re home. Without a sense of common interest, you might as well roll over to the production side of the Buisness because your it’s only a matter of time before getting your teeth kicked in at the door. Hey dude! Sorry for the slow response! Happy to help. Some people are just kindly rejecting you. If you want to get saucy - download OnX hunt or any of the apps that give you property owner data. You can knock and ask for the owner. If they respond to their name, you know they are lying :) Otherwise, consider it a kind rejection. Or gently lean into it -- "sometimes people tell me this just so I leave... can you shoot me straight? Are you truly renting?"

So my very first day was today, I've been watching your videos the past few weeks and I almost landed the very first door I knocked. But he wanted to do solar panels so I wasn't able to close, the company I work subs solar panels so there's more to it. But I think I'll get the house it's just gonna take a little longer.
