What an AWESOME video with some good music. I could ask you so many questions about the bike because I'm really torn on what touring bike to get. But I'm leaning to the BMW. I only wish it came with a few more passenger amenities like heated handgrips, cubby holes for storage, and passenger controls like the Yamaha Transcontinental.

Hi William, thank you for the nice comment. Go for a test ride at a BMW dealer, I'm sure you'll go for the BMW.

William,....heated grips and seats are standard on the K1600's along with power and handling that will leave the Yamaha forever in your rear view mirrors.

Hi David, thank you for the positive comments. Yes, the bike is brand new with heated grips, seat, and we also have heated motorcycle jackets and pants, quite toasty if it gets to chilly. :)

Hi there 👋👋 I’m nearly in the same position as you when it comes to trade in my GSA for a GTL. Even though my wife doesn’t ride with me , I like the comfort and the sweet sound of the 6 cylinder. How about your wife , does she like the pillion seat better ?

Add a TFT display screen and this K1600 bike blows away the new 2018 GoldWing.
@Enonymouse_6 жыл бұрын
Actually from a usability standpoint the only thing the new 2018/2019 GW offers that is competitive VS a recent model k16 is the DCT. If BMW ever came out with a transmission like this, it is likely that nothing would be comparable.

Not keen on the camera seemingly being on the pannier or strangely behind the mirror …….needs to be head mounted surely ? …….. the vids I enjoy watching make me think I’m on the bike …. This doesn’t … thanks for posting anyway

All BMW K1600 have serious issue - They all pull to the left! My one pull so hard that if I barely touch handlebar in split second I am on left lane. ( after hour ride my shoulder is in agony from constant pull handlebar to correct it and BMW don’t seem see the problem like I will not pay £ 24000) And after owning this bike for 3 months from brand new and having already swap engine for new one I can truly said it’s crappy bike. Go do yourself favor and bike Japanese bike
@lawnranger34326 жыл бұрын
The main issue the K1600's had was the water pump and handle bar switches and that has been corrected. I have 52,000 miles on my GTL and it does not pull to the left. Three months ago I test rode a 2018 GA and no left pull. A few have complained about the left pull but most have not. In 50 years of riding and owning 30 plus new motorcycles, the K1600 is up need the top of my favorite bikes.

It sounds to me he must have wrecked it and his shade tree mechanic didn't fix his fork tree. Its probably bent just enough to cause that.

@@zunaidkajee4540 , Why this clown has a hardon for the GTL is beyond me. Trolls get paid back in sorry negative living situations, which I assure you he's already experiencing. No one can badmouth a solid Company like BMW (both Car and Motorcycle division) and not suffer for it in one way or another. I've been acquainted with BMW since 1967 when I rode a BMW R/51/3 to school on a daily basis. I was 16 at the time. I'm now 68. The love for the brand never went away. There's nothing wrong with a Japanese Bike regardless of the brand, but BMW stands out in ANY crowd. Have you Gorton acquainted with the R/18 they're coming back out with? I told BMW that if they would put a Stylish R/51 fender complete with a mudflap at the bottom, and a top plate that says 2019 on it , do the same to the rear by adding a full fender to it, add a 2-up seat, a hand damper, and a large capacity fuel tank on it, that I would buy it in a NY Hurry. My old bike looked very much like that one does! Brings back great memories!
