Thank you for the flash back. It's great to know that younger dancers are interested in the older silly dances.

I've been looking my whole adult life for the name of a move that would always come up whenever anyone in an 80s movie started dancing. It's a kind of skip-step, if you see it you'll know what I'm talking about, the best example that comes to mind is in The Breakfast Club or Footloose.
@beastslayer32284 ай бұрын
She only does black dance moves. I guess those are the only ones that matter to her.
@christopherthomassanborn20 күн бұрын
The 80s. This is how it was. Let the move the beat. Shake the hips rhythmically. If I could still move like I used to, you would see how free we were. No lessons needed unless you were to specialize. Like the Moonwalk.

I did these moves at my School in the Late 90s. I mean RunningMan & Cabbage is 80s. Sprinkler & Snake I did in the late 90s. Vogue was more different we did more hand combinations close to the face like Madonna and bring em out and that song came out in 1990.
@ronniep92722 жыл бұрын
Yes but what about THE definitive cheesy 80s dance move where you click your fingers whilst swinging your arms from side to side, very similar to the Carlton dance. As seen in many movies and early MTV videos.

The Snake is the same things as 60s Boog-a-loo. Just like Happy Feet from the 20s are called many other names later on. Charleston became Mashed Potato in the 60s. Thanks for the uploading.

I was born in 1965, but I’m pretty sure these were all from the 1990s, except maybe for the distinctively “white” Voguing from Madonna, which might have been late 1980s. You can search KZbin for clips from the first “House Party” movie, which was awesome and included a lot of these more African American moves together but still likely was from the early 1990s.

Great, except that these are all '90s dances.. (except MAYBE 'the snake' as you called it) It's also important to note that the song playing at the end is from House of Pain, a distinctly- and verifiably- '90s group.

Seen as those dance moves have African Americans roots, it would have been sensible to have an African American that can still do all of those moves "correctly", to be in the video. Anyone who wants to see a good example of the Running Man, go and watch music 🎵🎶 video's from African American singer's from the late 1980's - 1993. For example "Bobby Brown". There is plenty more.
@jaychan6844 Жыл бұрын
Shut up. We don't need African Americans to do these dance moves. Anybody of any races are free to do whatever the fuk they'd like

This was totally disrespectful to ole school hip hop. I don't know what you did but it definitely was not those dances. You didn't do any of them correctly. You definitely need to take a class to correctly learn HOW to do the dances first before you show anybody else.

Why are these all black dance moves? This is not how white people were dancing in the 1980s. Why don't you show any of that? Just how most people were generically dancing like you'd see in a party scene in a John Hughes movie.
