Please, don't skip over the uncommon slot for IMA openings. Mishra's Bauble is at $10-12, Monastery Swiftspear at $3 and Thran Dynamo at $4-5. Worth more than a big chunk of the rares.

Rudy, someone at wizards was asleep the day they made iconic masters. My buddy got a case for his birthday last year and every pack had 2-3 rares in it instead of the normal 1. It was crazy, he ended up with 10+ of every rare in the set. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Absolutely crazy!

I think this set carries around a $640 set value while Mod Horizons is about $410 a set. The boxes sell for relatively the same though (usually $260-$300 CDN a box) 24 vs 36 packs might turn people off of it, but I found my MH box had A TON of token foils, when I did get one. I just like getting a foil in every pack. I also got a Mana Drain, Thoughsieze, Horizon Canopy, Aether Vial AND kiki-jiki in one box, that might have made me slightly biased against Mod. Horizons. Then a few weeks later I grabbed a single Iconic masters pack at a LGA and pulled a foil Horizon Canopy, so yea, I liked this set just fine.

because he is a scumbag liar that only airs the best openings to lure people into buying from him. People would still watch videos even if the openings were bad, but he would not have the hordes of patrons hanging to his lips trusting every word. That's how he gets the cashflow. Selling cheap sealed product for "MSRP". If you want to become rich you have to rob a million people by a little bit or a few people by a lot to not get cought. He is doing the first thing + market manipulation. To be able to be sitting on thousands of reserved list cards and not get bankrupt you have to make cash with recent products. And by storing away that amount of reserved list cards they are hard to get, highly sought after and classified collectables. Well from time to time Mr. Scumbag can sell some of his storage with a stooge and eventually buy them back cheap again. It is a sceam. A smart one because people fall for it, but it works.

It was shitty at the time cause it was hyped up to be "Iconic" and full of great reprints but it was neither and the draft format was crap and master sets were getting a bit saturated

also financially you have to remember this is a 10$ per pack box retail. for a looong time most of these rares didn't hold near the value they now have and even to this day the mythics aren't hard hitters except for mana drain. Legit you have Mana drain at 70$ and avacyn at 25$ and the rest of the mythics just barely pay for your 10$ pack. It's not that there aren't a lot of great playable cards in here its just until recently with Pioneer format being announced most of these cards didn't have price tags, now you have thoughtseiezes up to 30$, supreme verdict 10$ ect.
