Meat definitely contains hormones and growth factors. And it's good for fast muscle growth in the short run, but it could increase the growth of cancerous cells too. The same about kidneys and pancreas, these organs have much more work on the carnivore diet. So we need long-term safety data on these extremal diets.

They worked out. Simple. Me, a lazy female on a meat only diet, wouldn't gain any muscle, just fat loss

@@YuraL88 Incorrect. What causes cancer cells to grow, divide and multiply in the long run is ultimately up to glucose (sugar/carbs) and an amino acids called glutamine. A full on meat based diet is the most anti-cancer diet that exists so long as you are eating HIGH fat carnivore, and fasting.

@@YuraL88 On top of that, no data suggests that a high animal food or meat based diet puts your organs under any kind of negative strain, that said when organs aren't used over the course of thousands to 10's of thousands of years, those organs start to shrink and get smaller. We have a large gallbladder because we as a human race have eaten primarily animal foods, as the gallbladders primary function is the processing of animal fats

They completely botched this experiment, he ate plants which are NOT meat based, absolutely pointless waste of time.

agreed. There is a gigantic difference between a full on meat based diet, as apposed to an animal based diet centered around only animal products. This was an omnivorous diet because when I do a carnivore diet, I never end up gaining fat % unless I'm underweight.

I believe everything in moderation, stay away from sugars and processed foods. We are hunter gatherers by nature and we aren't meant to stick with one or the other. Too much vegetable makes me feel bloted and constantly hungry, where as if I eat meat I'm left feeling full and it's longer between eating

Yeah, the carnivoure guy gaineg "only 5kg" of muscle mass in 12 weeks while gaining 2%bf while the vegan one only decreased 1% of bf so basically did nothing.

12 weeks? who cares. it takes about 20 weeks just for your metabolism and gut biome to adjust to a new diet.

@@auveus5036 some metabolic changes can happen within days but others take several months depending on cellular turnover rate (eg small intestine epithelium is renewed every 2-4 days, while liver hepatocytes take 6 months or longer). the longer you're on a diet, the better adapted to it you'll be. and any major changes to the diet should be gradual (over the course of weeks if not months) to avoid gut damage and other health problems.

@@auveus5036 potentially. most of the problems will be temporary though, like constipation, diarrhea, cramps, fatigue etc. regardless, better to avoid these problems by making changes gradually.

You should have said how much the vegan one gained in muscle mass or lost, which I doubt if he was eating a proper vegan diet.

Yep. Cholesterol is the baseline molecule for your body’s endocrine function. It’s important for regulating testosterone and a high cholesterol diet is not necessarily bad

@@willm678 Every cell in our body can make its own cholesterol. Cholesterol in our blood is a tiny fraction of total body cholesterol for extra demands. There is no correlation between blood cholesterol and testosterone levels.
