I've done it all my life and have pain when I put pressure on the heel of my foot. I find it much easier and smoother to walk the way I do, as for running, it's much faster to walk around and turn.

I'm 19 and still toe walk. Not all the time. I'll unconsciously switch back and forth from walking normally to toe talking. The only problem I've found is that I have difficulty walking down a steep slope and not being on my toes. I have to really concentrate to walk heel to toe going downhill and have found myself being more off balance walking down a slope on my toes. Besides this I really have no other issues. I haven't found much information about adult toe walking. Should I have out grown it by now and should I seek professional help? Are there any long term effects that could hurt me?

I am 34 and do the exact same thing. There is nothing critically wrong with me to my knowledge.

I’m 22 and I have this. The only thing that can effect you with toe walking is your calf will be a lot more tight then other people. But iT won’t affect you long term though, at least I think. :)

My son is 3 and is a toe walker. His right is worse than his left. I'm so worried about it. It keeps me up at night.

I toe walk still to this day, at the age of 18. I’ve been made fun of for this for years, and my dad would actually try to push my shoulders down so I’d walk on my heals.. obviously that wouldn’t work. Apparently it’s a disorder. I remember running in a track race, and my coach told me that I was running on the balls of my feet which wasn’t good. Made me slower and just isn’t good for my legs overall.

Nothing in Particular I am able to walk flat footed, I just unconsciously start walking on my toes again. I’ve tried to stop for years. I only don’t walk on my toes if I do it on purpose because I realize and remember I shod IMDb be tip toeing. That’s horrible I’m sorry.:( surgerys are supposed to help though aren’t they? What bad could happen? I don’t know a whole lot about surgery. I’m going to go to the doctor for my toe walking soon. Thanks for your reply.

Hi did you find out why?
@boxingarmor631410 жыл бұрын
toe walking is the more natural and better way to walk,we naturally do it and change when we start using shoes, if we would walk on our toes the way we are suposed to we would be faster, we would have a stronger core.

+Boxing Armor And if we walked on all 4 there would be no back pain..

FINALLY! someone that agrees with me! I have had bad feet sinch childhood. 6 months ago I started limping from a condition "runners heal". I started walking forefoot so I could get around without pain, and I went from falling down to wanting to run almost overnight. its only been a week and I now have arches, whereas I didn't have them ever. my posture straighten up. my blood pressure came down to normal ranges. and my feet are as sensitive as my hands when I feel things! am I crazy?! or are we supposted to walk this way?
