Well, there's a big difference between legal/illegal and moral/immoral. Him being good or bad depends on his actions being moral or not. There's an argument to be made that fighting an evil empire is good, even though from the empire his actions definitely are unlawful. So it depends from where you sit. Also, Han shooting Greedo is self-defense. Whether it's legal or not is another discussion. In the USA, where there are stand your ground laws, it's legally self-defense. In a backwards country like France, it would considered at least homicide if not murder. Anyways, Han is mostly a good person with selfish motives at first, then becomes a selfless good person when ROTJ ends. Committing crimes doesn't necessarily make someone bad. Like smoking weed makes you a criminal depending on where you live, or a law-abiding citizen. Does smoking make you a bad person? Or a person who doesn't care about their own health? This really makes me think that the song Criminal really aimed at Han and Leia. Like a line in that song is, 'Mama im in love with a criminal,' like Leia is in love with a criminal, and then another line is, 'And even I know this ain't smart,' ya it is not smart to be in love with a criminal, and, 'all reason aside, I just can't deny I love the guy.' Ya, it is not a good idea to be in love with him.

Movies are crazy when it comes to being charged for the crimes they commit in movies even more if it's a main character most of the time when you see something like this they always get away with it because they're the main character and they get redemption in this way by being good even though they did some bad stuff stealing for some characters even killing has been a thing but they get freed because they're good at what they do or they need somebody that knows the way and luckily for them they get free Because of it and then you go through the movie but somebody that's first a criminal but by the end of the movie because they're one of the main characters somehow that justifies everything they have done before because they saved the world here is on or because he has still a little bit of hope that's always one of the reasons bad people or anti heroes don't get charged with the crimes they committed but of course in the end it's always a movie that's how it works in movies

there's a reason why so many movies have characters like that. Somehow they're the most relatable ones, which is interesting. we love to see good actions outweigh the bad in the end. Redemption is compelling
