So even if a network gives you a 90/10 split, it's still worse than having no partner at all, which is a common misconception which leads a lot of people to join networks despite their shitty practices.

More traffic and protection against copyright strikes could give more money than you could get solo. Would you rather have 100% of 1,000 or 80% of 10,000? That said if the network doesn't protect you from copyright claims or boost your average views by much it may not be worth it since the cut they take could end up being more than the increased revenue from the additional views.

+Animeist72 Just make sure you have all correspondence recorded. No phone calls, only emails & letters. Letters that require a signature at their destination. Make sure you back up any emails & responses. I recently had to make a claim on my car insurance. I'm 38 & have been driving nearly 20 years. The insurance company tried to say I was registered with them as a learner, not as a full diver. They even said that their records they had stated I had put I was a learner. Low & behold it did say that, when I logged in to my account. Luckily I logged on a few days previous & took a screen cap saying I was a full drivers license holder. They couldn't pay out quick enough after I spent them a text of the screen cap, which I added a wonky face to (couldn't resist lol) Moral is. Companies will try & fuck you over, make sure you have everything they say documented & recorded. Every interaction must have a paper trail. PS even emails can be iffy. Best send everything by post & keep a photocopy of the letter for yourself.
