It’s been 2 years and he contacts me out of the blue every few months, never apologizing or explaining. I just ignore and do my thing. He’s engaged to someone else and has been since 2 months after we broke up, they’ve yet to marry, I’ve blocked him on everything, he still finds a way to contact me, he gets left on read. 💝 I was in a long distance relationship with someone I dated 20 years ago. We reconnected 1 1/2 years ago and he told me he had never stopped loving me and wanted to marry me....over and over. He said it all first. Then one morning he just hangs up on me after I say hello (literally a 10 sec conversation) and when I text/call back thinking something bad happened...no response. The sad thing is this man is 51 years old and emotionally unavailable. Honestly, I never thought it was my fault. The immaturity it takes for someone to inflict pain on others has their own issues....something I want no part of. I'm just thankful I found out who he is now instead of 5 years (or 5 months) down the road! I don't need closure because I know my worth! 💪 It is his loss and I know he knows it deep down inside. 😔 That is now his burden to bear. He was also financially irresponsible and in debt. These days ghosting is so common, I myself have faced that and in spite of asking 1000 times - I never got the answers why it happened at the first place. Only that "it is a clarification not any argument to discuss that we can't be together"! It pains but then there is no cure for narcissistic people, you just have to hold yourself - that is all you have got. They won't come for your savior! No matter how much love you do to them, suddenly they will behave as if you do not exist at all (overnight)!! Thanks for sharing this - I am sure there are many out there like me who need to listen this!! I wish all of those people who are already facing this situation to bear some more strength and life is beautiful and better off such people!!

Believe me when I say it had nothing to do with you or anything you did. This is all their very own character & personality. You need to remember just how special you are, you are a good person that deserves so much more & they knew it. Communication is the backbone of any relationship - it's the only way two people can understand each other's values, likes and dislikes, perspectives on life, and what experiences shaped those perspectives. Sadly, most people struggle with conflict avoidance to the point that they would rather completely avoid anything remotely uncomfortable. Sadly, that's a bad recipe for a relationship - Every relationship needs to be nurtured through communication and thoughtfulness. To everyone in the comments I feel for you. Being ghosted is a different type of hurt, I’ve gone through things that were hard and discouraging but this hurt me in a way I’ve never experienced before. I wish I would’ve seen this video and the comments here when I was crying my eyes out months ago. to know others have felt that way before too makes me feel a bit more comforted but also so sad that this is something other people had to experience too. I kept telling myself “when the passing months surpass the amount of time we were together maybe then I’ll be okay.” and they did but just like in the video, I still think about her at random moments. Even when I’m happy, even when I’m doing okay. It really is like a open wound with nothing to help it. After being sad when it happened, I became angry and I was blaming every bad thing happening to me on her ghosting me before I finally had to accept it. It really was like the stages of grief. I’ve come to realize that the person that I was so infatuated with was immature more so than I thought and emotionally unavailable. To give someone everything one day and then take it away so suddenly is so cruel and I just hope I’m the last person that she will do that to. I don’t need an apology or explanation because I know there is a reason that people make the decisions that they do. I know it wasn’t my fault. Once you accept that it was nothing you did, then all you can do is hope that the other person makes better decisions in the future. Even after being hurt, I’m still rooting for her to do well in life because I want her to mature and be content- it seems apparently she’s not reached that yet. I hope you’re all doing okay.

Thank you for this video 🙏 it popped up just at the right time and date for me.... Going on almost 4 years since My ex of almost 11 years... Got caught lying and cheating... And instead of her letting me know why she did those things... She called me all types of names... Said she had daddy issues, got mad , and ghosted me without a word... 🌸 Please note a ghoster is a sad person that has no backbone Most of the time they don’t poses any decent traits so please do not expect an apology or any answers Instead try to get closure for yourself, write a letter to the ghoster & give them a piece of your mind. Now close the letter and destroy it, either tear it or throw it into the bin. You will imagine they are standing right in front of you. Picture them feeling very ashamed of themselves, see them with face or eyes lowered. Now imagine yourself walking proudly away with your head held high, knowing you are the better person. You will walk to a door, closing door behind you & on them. Turn that key to lock it & throw it away, imagine yourself walking into open air and towards beautiful light and feel light & free. I just had some conversations with a girl that suddenly ghosted me. We were talking very good, but out of the blue, she did not reply my last message. The funny thing is that I message her from another social media, and she reply me very short, and then she told me that she have been busy to reply the others messages, and she will do. Until today there is no answer. What does that means? Why she did that? Why people these days DO NOT like to get involved in anything? I'm sorry - ghosting can be so very hurtful, especially when you're taking the effort to reach out multiple times and communicate, and she is not extending the courtesy to communicate her thoughts and feelings, rather than completely ignoring you. Sadly, we live in a society where conflict avoidance has gone to a whole new level, and ghosting is one form of it. When a conversation starts feel uncomfortable and awkward, people find it easier to completely disengage rather than actually engaging in a dialogue, whatever the outcome of that dialogue might be. While it might be easier for them, it certainly isn't easier for the person being ghosted. I'm sorry that you're hurting, but sometimes, the silence says more than the words ever could. And this might be one of those cases.

Wow this situation is something I experienced a few weeks ago and been struggling so hard with. I had my friend in a gaming community who I talked so much with (basically daily) we had an amazing chemistry and talked about traveling for 6 months next year and all with another friend. Then out of nowhere she told me she didn't want to talk anymore and just never responded to any of the people I know that know her as well. She left without any explanation and blocked me online. Nothing has happened between us, we could always talk for hours and we helped each other with things we struggled with. It broke me so much and I still care since I promised that whatever happened I will be there for her and will love her (not as in a relationship, but friends) And I just have to let her go even though it hurts so much.

Creating your own explanation is a horrible habit that can strike back. Just make a decision that is healthy for you - be happy without a weirdo who does not communicate, forget and ignore (don't waste your time). Learn people more before committing next time.
