I don't know what the point in all of this is. Is it to warn guys - or to bring in prohibition? I'll never believe in banning something just because some people can't control themselves. But if it's just to make dudes aware of how dangerous it can be, than right on.

It's time for this society to accept that porn is destroying the minds of young men and social media is warping women's minds. Both are a serious problem.
@ALTheFreeMan
@ALTheFreeMan 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I’m not an advocate for porn by any means, however, we always hear about the “porn epidemic”, but social media and it’s damaging effects on women is hardly ever mentioned. If every single man were to stop watching porn today and get back to “real life”, they would still have to navigate a world full of women who are plugged into the “social media matrix”. And because of the unrealistic expectations created by social media and dating apps, porn is the only outlet many men have these days! There are two sides to this coin!

I'm 42 yrs old now. I've Been a heavy addict since I was 16, 3 years ago, I Lost my wife and daughter because of heavy porn use . the guilt almost killed me, so I said enough and decided to escape from this shithole. I read a ton of books (the only one that changed me was "Befapless" because it had the most realistic steps for quitting), joined communities(like "r/nofap"), and gave it all to quit. . I'm clean for 3 years now. I feel regret every day about the time that passed. I wasted my life. I wish I hadn't. God, I wish I hadn't. If you're young reading this, please do anything at all necessary to overcome this ASAP!

So how does the establishment benefit from you getting free porn? Is it a bandaid on loneliness and rage against the system, a pacifier to stop the baby from crying? I guess if we all quit porn, the government will fear the "blue balls rebellion" or the "incel insurgency." Ok ok, I kid, but I also am respectfully interested, and I meant the question in all seriousness. Maybe it's that obsession with sex and women makes us vulnerable to them, and then the government can control us through them. If the government has the women brainwashed and in their back pocket, then chances are they have the kids.

My father caught me watching porn when I was 12 or 13. Not red handed, but caught me. He waited til we were alone to talk about it and the main the he said was “that’s not real love.” It took me about 9 years to sit back and think about the position he was in and for that to be the thing he told me. I broke down crying because he didn’t scold me and tell me that I did a bad thing, he wanted me to know the 2 people in the video don’t love each other. That statement took root deep inside me and has taught me so much.

@@siggeek503 I also think that women who porn-addicted men become intimate with will be able to tell for the following reasons: 1.) Porn-induced ED 2.) Expecting porn sex acts in the bedroom and expecting her to do as you please no matter how uncomfortable for her. Heterosexual Porn writes this narrative that nothing is too much for the female recipient and that she must do whatever it takes to please the man, which is very toxic.

I was addicted to porn from the ages of 13-21. Now I’m nearly 30 and I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I’ve watched porn in the last several years. One negative that gets overlooked is how much time you waste watching porn when you could be doing something else. And I’ll be honest, for me the cure to stop watching porn was literally to just have sex with women.

@SARTHAKAHAVA-dg2sv yo bro, i'm currently in a streak of 16 days clean. What you gotta do is just distract yourself with something else, do things that you like instead of go to watch that ill stuff. My strength comes from the fact that, if i do it once again i will regret that i've done it after. Man is really easy actually, you have to stop touching yourself too. Don't listen to your thing between your legs, listen to yourself, love yourself cuz you have to do things that are better for yourself, so stop watching those things. I've been in that phase too, you ain't alone and you ain't the only one that has been through that. One last thing, try to get off the phone often. Try to take a break from it and focus on things that are in real life (i'm not saying you are a person that lives on the phone, i'm just talking about this cuz of experience), i've done it and to do so i got off all the socials, i use youtube sometimes, but other socials are non existent for me right now. How did you make a year? I’ve been slowing down a lot lately but I still do it once or twice a day. I got injured at work and more time to myself and I realized how bad it got within the last few months. It’s such a hard thing for me to quit, it makes me wanna pull my hair out and I’m too embarrassed to bring up to my therapist or anyone. My dad works in IT I just asked him to help me block all accounts and saying he’ll look into it. But I’m very nervous about quitting. I moved to a new state and city and I’ve went on dates with girls and they went well. Until I kept asking about sex and it would turn them off. I feel ashamed. I feel disgusted and that I shouldn’t be alive. I’ve been watching porn for 14 years, I’m 25 I started at 11. This really I’m really trying to stay focused on being sober along with porn and it’s very difficult. God please help me!!!

@@bigcloutfrom63rd80 here for the same thing, but I'm slowly getting through it, a couple things that have been helping me was to keep busy. In your case you have been having more time to yourself and you've become bored sitting around doing nothing. Once you feel that way the only thing that tends to come into mind is to watch porn, but always think to yourself whenever you have these temptations "I'm not that person anymore" or "I'm changed now" keep that mindset and I promise you it will go a long way. For me, for instance, when I lay in my bed for a long period of time I tend to get bored and then watch porn to get that dopamine hit. Now I only lay in my bed if I need to fall asleep, I never watch tv or scroll through my phone to resist those cravings or temptation. I promise you will get through this bro, keep praying and keep yourself busy and you will overcome it!

This needs to be talked about more, the Porn culture and its accessibility is a serious problem in society. The world has never seen this kind of problem before and its rarely talked about because of its taboo nature. So many of these addicts (who don't even know it because they make up justifications) are destroying their ability to feel/love have a meaningful relationship. You'd be AMAZED how successful at dating you become when you take away that outlet. All the things that hold you back like fear of rejection, insecurity, nuance turn off's... they all take a back seat. Your need and want for companionship will push you past those speed bumps quickly.

Kids are curious. They’re gonna find out one way or another. Also, sex itself isn’t even harmful to know about or learn about. The harm comes from watching the idealized and heavily scripted/edited version of sex and love that probably took multiple takes and/or days to create but looks like it was filmed all in one go. This is one of many reasons people who are into porn begin to develop unrealistic expectations of sex and partners in general.

He said it was in the woods...we both stumbled upon the exact same magazine that my dad tried to hide. And we've both been struggling ever since then. I've had great times of freedom. Even about 2.5 years once. Another time for 10 months. But it always somehow comes back. I hate it so much. I know my adhd has something to do with it too. Bc of having a low baseline of dopamine leading to impulsiveness and a desire for quick dopamine hits. But it affects my marriage. Breaks her heart bc she has no ability to understand what I'm going through, which breaks my heart. I've got two sons and I would rather die right now then have them struggle with this too. I'm tearing up even as I write this. I hate it so much. I dont even know why I'm writing this. I guess because there are other guys out there who feel my pain. Please pray for me. I'm sad, but not hopeless. I know with Jesus I will see victory one day. I'll never give up. We have to keep fighting.

It may help to know that most workers in the porn industry are illegally trafficking (forced into it) and engage in shady and dangerous prostitution outside of adult films as that is how the primarily make their money. Most porn stars have severe drug and alcohol addictions, mental health problems and stds. Also most of them were sexually and physically abused as children an they are reliving this out on film and in prostitution. I don't know how people can watch abused and mentally unhealthy people get further abused in a sex film. Knowing the truth of that industry may turn you off to it.

Some tips for those who are trying: - never feel ashamed about your addiction. So many people struggle with this. - every day of nofap is a small victory and will gain you something, even if you relapse after. - go live together with roommates (girls preferably): when you have company you cannot relapse. - avoid loneliness. If you are alone, go outside as much as possible - Dont go on social media. Nowadays its basically the same as pornography. Its useless anyway. - If you feel the urge, work out. Work out untill you are so tired you dont have any urges. its absolutely worth it.

Nearly all addiction stems from the same thing - lack of fulfillment in life. If you're depressed, suffering from abuse, lonely, and/or chronically stressed, you're more likely to turn to the quickest, easiest methods of relief possible. Most Americans turn to shit like scrolling on social media indefinitely because far too many of us are suffering from most of that list. But quitting the addiction isn't gonna solve shit. You're still going to be depressed, chronically stressed, suffering from abuse and/or lonely. You need to fix *those* things first, and then you'll find the addiction isn't important anymore.

One and three are bad ideas, especially one. Never ever pray. Meditate, sure. Don't pray. Prayer is just substituting one crutch/weakness for another, except prayer leads you to religions that will exploit your weakness. And three, never be alone indoors? What if you live alone? What if you have roommates but they don't want to watch you in the bathroom or your bedroom? That's impractical. If you're overusing adult content, cut back on it, like anything else, but don't forbid yourself from doing self-release of tension, especially if you don't have a partner.

Of course u will have ur views and they are welcome. xx Here's an Islamic perspective: In islam this dark force and "whispers" is the voice of satans/demons. There are many satans/demons amongst man and jinn, varying in power. But there is only one "iblis" (he is the original Satan that approached Adam and eve, (may peace be upon them). He has sworn revenge and eniminity towards humanity until the final day. This life is a test to see who repels evil with love/good/patience having believed in God. And follow God's guidance and avoid sin and whispers of iblis/satans. In addition to this our souls (rhuu) have the ability to do both good and bad without the whispers. God tells us to take the path of goodness. The part of our soul that lends ear to desire and weakness and excess love for this worldly things, is called the "nhaffs". When one battles with his nhaffs to do good while a believer they are fulfilling the purpose of their creation. The jinn reside in the filthiest of places. In the home those places are usually the bin or toilet. Guess where the tissue goes after PMO? This way they gain access to ur seed. The life forming best part of u. And u give it away cheaply for a fleeting pleasure. When this happens a type of magic takes effect and this can amplify their whispers to u. Possibly causing low self-esteem, anxiety, paranoia, self doubt, fear. Notice that distinction sense of guilt, shame, embarrassment straight after PMO. If u were interested this is just a perspective. You are feel to believe and explore as u will. Providing its legal. Peace x

You are mistaken. Let me explain: there is a pretty damn obvious connection between loneliness and prn. Ever noticed how studies talking about negative aspects of prn mainly name correlations? Case in point: many people who get divorced tend to watch a lot of prn. You can read this as either: more prn = divorce OR people who are sexually frustrated in their marriage will search an outlet. What I found over the years is that in most cases, there are three issues with prn. In no particular order: psychosocial issues, mainly insecurity about one’s physicality & unrealistic expectations. Both are pretty common with a lot of social media but can usually be fixed with a good education on the subject because a lot of the unrealistic expectations and fears are unfounded. Can be pretty bad for a minority that is in a relationship or who are super insecure, they should then consider to stay away from prn, possibly permanently. Next up; we have a bigger issue: candy. Prn is entertainment and some people can not handle that amount of power. They are like children who never got told that sugar is bad for them, undisciplined and weak minded. Should either stay away from prn completely or actively limit themselves. Also an issue that can usually prevented via sexual education, the issue is that most societies don’t touch the subject so kids/teens are left to their own devices and as we all know, many kids and teens are notoriously unreliable and lack self discipline. The 18+ sign exists for a reason. Finally there is sadly the most serious group: copers. And they are why I mentioned the marriage example: the youth is lonelier than ever. And while the reasons are plentiful, a clear symptom is that more people think they are addicted to prn. The sad reality is that many people can not fulfil their base sexual urges and even less their urges for companionship. This is also evident when we look at content here on KZbin or Twitch. Check the google trends for how to get a girlfriend. Sounds innocent enough, when you mix it with the headlines of the loneliness epidemic, it becomes clear that for many people, often without realising it, prn has become their preferred coping mechanism to keep going. Hard to fix because this is a pretty big issue None of these three conditions are tied to addiction however. The reason? Kids will talk about needing more extreme stuff to get off; turns out, that’s why most healthy adults take breaks between the entertainment sessions. This is because the dopamine gets broken down pretty quickly and constantly in all healthy adults. It’s why, no matter how much sex young adults have, they don’t become addicted. It’s also why mastrubating without external help doesn’t lead to any problems, despite doing the exact same thing physically. Prn addiction is, frankly, not a thing in any serious academic sense.

It’s also very important to note how porn exacerbates lust and diminishes true love. The role lust plays in relationships and how porn is steroids for that lust isn’t talked about enough. People think lust is passionate love and often confuse the two. So much so that they carry out who relationships for years without really loving that person and jump ship when they start to become physically unattracted to that person. Those relationships also happen to be really problematic. Porn and society’s views of sex is so damaging to true love and healthy relationships.

What was it like as a woman to have a porn addiction? Did it lead to sex addiction or did you watch so much pornography that you lost the drive to have sex with someone too?

@@calleocho2107 did lead me into more risky sexual behaviors but I already grew up with sexual trauma so it was another layer added to that. In my marriage though it caused a lot of issues with our intimacy and the give and take between us as partners. Watched it since I was a teen and the internet was readily available and started to become a thing. I'm 35 now and it has damaged my self-esteem, sexual expectations, warped my view of relationships and stunted my emotional development. Its clouded what's really important in life; which is building meaningful long lasting connections rather than vapid ones and finding your true long term desires in life rather than fulfilling your short term pleasures...

I've been porn free for about 9 months now and what really helped me was thinking about the morality of porn, what it does to the female performers, just read articles from ex porn stars and the horror stories they tell about the industry. Then what it is doing to the brains and lives of men who consume it, which is destroying your brain and totally warping your idea of sex. I really had to ask myself " is this what I want sex to be? Is this what sex really even is?" the answer was no.

No he simply did the deed and moved on and did the rest of what ever is needed to do that day. Its that simple. Do it and then move on and do other things. Just like working out. And yes, some people do get addicted to working out and develop eating problems and this and that... does that mean working out is bad? Fuck no.

Lisa Fenwick I hope leaving that comment on two people that have learned from their mistakes gave you the dopamine hit you were looking for. I really hope that little mental boost you were so desperately looking for helped you continue to ignore the fact that you are still alone, continuing to age, and the longer that you go without finding someone who will love you, the harder they will become to find. I suggest fixing your need to attack people for your own ego, the path you are on leads to nothing but a life full of pharmaceuticals, and an empty cold room filled with nothing but a dying corpse and the smell of regret.

I can't remember exactly where I saw this, but there was a porn director- maybe in some type of group discussion thing?- that said one of the biggest challenges with getting young performers right now is in getting young men that can do the job. That got some puzzled reactions- aren't there a lot of guys that want to do this? And the answer is yes, there is, but now more than ever guys aren't able to get it up and keep it up to performance standards. One of the most common things that a director will see from a male performer (that probably won't make it) is that he's spent far too much time watching porn himself, so he doesn't stay aroused when he's with the female performer. They have to yell cut, then he grabs a mobile device and watches a bit of porn in order to get himself back there and then they can get a few more minutes of usable footage. Think about that next time you're wasting time on this. You're becoming that guy. That's exactly how that guy became that guy, and it happens So Much. It's very common. It happens all the time.

This goes to show you that because porn is so easily accessible, it's a quicker route to excitement than the process of getting aroused by a woman. These guys are not used to the flirtation and the natural process of getting excited about a woman's femininity. There's a process to getting to the point of sex, which is why I like teasing, making out, and everything that leads up to sex.

Porn is definitely a serious problem in modern society and for young men. I'm on my path of semen retention, and that is definitely the right way: you feel good, you have a lot of energy, you speak to people (especially women) normally and not like a weirdo, your mind and memory are clear, women see you in different way because of your energy, you definitely live better overall. It's not easy cause porn is an ADDICTION like all the others, at the beginning I failed a lot of times, but now I'm fully convinced that all men should practice semen retention and realize that whatching porn and masturbating everyday it's a serious danger for the future. I've always been a shy introvert guy, and since I practice semen retention I feel a lot better, the confidence, the energy, the joy of fucking living a life like a normal person is unbelievable. PLEASE TRY IT and rise again when you fall in temptation, let me know what you think about it once you tried it, I'm sure that you will thank me! STAY STRONG YOU ALL!💪🏼❤️‍🔥
