Dr Cool . I have a most effective solution for you and your customers . I did encounter that issue in both of my Gl450 and I found a good working solution . See if you place it in vertical position like you did show us it will last a little more but , The leaking will continue if you don't fix it and water will continue to go down to that compartment and humidity will find the way to penetrate the Rear Sam through the little venting windows it has all around the box and the humidity will set down and will destroy the Sam internally anyhow . So what I did and what I propose is as follow . Take the Sam and place it in a table , find a flat screwdriver and pressed down the sides of the sam to be able to opened . ones you was able to open the sam and was able to see the electronic board , spray the whole board with electronic silicon, don't be scared, silicon will protect the circuit , then place some sort of clear tape closing all the vents , the sam does not need those vents believe me , done it and worked . after taping all the vents put it back together and that's it . working sam forever .

If the rear SAM gets wet and one starts having electrical problems, would it work after drying it out or does one have to buy new SAM? I use a W164 2011 GL450.

If yours is wet, dry it and find out

Fantastic video How do you code rear sam with im608 Because i change sam unit with used one everything works now but the the electric seats don't move now
