Great video. I'm moving from Jepp to NOS to avoid the crazy update task. This video will help ease my pain. One thing I'll miss is the Inoperative Components increased visibility minimums displayed right in the Jepp minimums section instead of having to look in the Inoperative Components Table on the government charts.

FLY8MA.com Flight Training Expensive but my company buys them for me. I just hate the update task. It can sometimes take 1.5 hours for California alone, depending on how extensive the update is.

A lot of the Jepp charts are not airline specific... the flow of Jepp charts seems better for order of when you need information. Any other tips and video on walking through an actual approach plate brief. I also like on Jepp plates they show actual runway heading in degrees. The wierd thing to me about Jepp plates is no expiration date like you have on FAA charts... great video. I hope to see more on Pros/Cons with Jepp plates.Finally, I also like how Jepp plates actually show the MAP and MDA if on Localizer relative to the VDP.

But the Taxi Diagram doesn’t give you declared distances....I’d prefer have the LDA right there on the plate

Been a while since I used Jepp but I believe the runway specs are on the back of the page. Anyway, I don't care for Jepp font choices, hard on the eyes, reminds me of a cheap early '80s computer. Funny aside, FAA pilots use Jepp plates.

FAA plate shows the non-standard (Y) band DME channel for the ILS as 38(Y)....where is this critical 38(Y) shown on the Jepp?
