The problem isn't physical media, the problem is company being legally allowed to keep the copyright of a movie/show/game if they decide to delete it There should be a law saying that any movie/show/game a company choose to delete from their library and not have anything to do with it anymore, will automatically fall in the public domain, so we don't loose a small part of our culture...

piracy is the ONLY safe way for digital consumption. It not only gives you access to media you otherwise wouldn't have access to, it also often provides higher quality. A game packaged with intrusive DRM and anticheat software that break the game, or get the pirated one without that stuff and enjoy the same game with no drawbacks.
