Very frustrating that it feels like IGN Podcasts have been deprioritized. The last few weeks among all shows have been littered with audio and production issues. Hoping that it's just a new producer (if so, I'll give some grace) but it's hard to watch my favorite pillar of IGN weaken.

This is absolutely true, which is interesting to see Sony/Playstation be this ballsy, bold, and risk doing some serious consumer and fandom damage to their brand. These kind of things could lead to some interesting results and future competition if the rumored Xbox Next does in fact launch in 2026 - launches at a competitive price point, more powerful than the Playstation Pro, and also launches with a completely native handheld as a companion or even as a standalone. Not to mention the system potentially being a hybrid device that is either running windows with the Xbox UI or is at the least compatible with windows apps and software.

I'm shocked that the presentation didn't mention that the Pro has 2TB storage space. Honestly that makes it much more worthy of the price to me and no one is talking about it. To get an SSD for another TB costs around $100. So to include that with the graphical upgrades when the PS5 (w/only 825gb) is $500, that seems worth it to me. It does still need to come with a disc drive though.

It is not worth the outlay. Also wasnt 60fps meant to be the standard for just the standard PS5 but we are still getting 30fps as an option. How can they be trusted that we will be getting 120fps and 8k they recently drop that mark of the standard ps5 box didnt they. This is the generation of the remake of the remaster. Devs please stop remastering and start to be innovative rather than being safe with the rinse and repeat and copying each other.

What's the exact GPU is in the ps5 pro? If it's the rx7800xt ($470 GPU) then the price makes sense. If it's less than that, like a rx7700xt ($390 GPU), than the value proposition is debatable.
